Had a long conversation today that made me think about what really matters in the age of AI.
If the context is yours, the lived experience is yours, the judgment is yours, and the taste is yours, then even if AI helps you write, the work is still yours.
Tools don’t replace agency. They amplify it.
In a world where everyone can generate polished words, what becomes scarce is not writing itself, but having something real to say.
Real experiences. Clear judgment. A sense of what matters. The ability to notice concrete problems and turn them into something useful, beautiful, or meaningful.
This also makes me question the idea of being “too vertical” as a creator.
Platforms may reward narrow labels, but a person is not a category. I’m more interested in building around a deeper thread: how to observe real life, identify real problems, and use science, product thinking, and taste to solve them.
Maybe the real moat in the AI era is not just expertise.
It’s being a real person with real judgment.
