It gladdens my heart how Zekeri schooled Sowore on politics.
He clearly educated him on the difference between being a lawyer and an economist. He also let him know that activism does not equate to political leadership๐
Opposition to the opposition is simply not in a position to give good governance.
A CATHOLIC PRIEST AND 10 OTHERS ABDUCTED IN KADUNA
The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Kaduna has announced the abduction of Fr Nathaniel Asuwaye in the early hours of today at the rectory of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Karku, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
Fr Nathaniel was kidnapped alongside 10 other people while 3 people were killed in the process.
The moment you think that calm is being restored, these terrorists will just strike again.
We pray for the safe and speedy release of all the abducted victims and eternal repose to the dead๐๐ฟ
A few days ago, I posted the painful story of Fr. James Omeh, a Catholic priest of Minna Diocese who died tragically on his way to celebrate Mass. Under the rain, the bridge he was crossing collapsed. His vehicle plunged into the river. He did not survive.
Rather than hold the government accountable for a failed and dangerous road, many Nigerians blamed Fr. Omeh himself. Under the post, I got comments like: โHe lacked common sense.โ "Must the Mass be celebrated that time and day?" โWhy was he driving in the rain?โ โWhere was the God he was serving?โ
Just yesterday, another tragedy struck - a billboard collapsed in Aba, Abia State, crushing vehicles and killing over 35 people. I wonder if those who blamed Fr Omeh will also blame those who died in Aba for โnot applying common senseโ?
You see, one of the things we face in Nigeria is a crisis of conscience. We have become so used to failed leadership that we no longer expect anything from our elected officials. So, when tragedy strikes - we turn on victims and not on those who failed in their duty to prevent it. Let me remind you that most of these tragedies are not accidents - they are the inevitable results of neglect, corruption, and incompetence.
Sadly, we have normalized suffering instead of demanding accountability. Nigerians are often fighting the wrong battles. Every day, social media is filled with tribal wars, religious insults, and criticism of politicians who are not even in office.
You will hardly see the same energy when it comes to holding those in power accountable. We allow leaders to govern without scrutiny and then insult victims of their failure. Both the death of Fr. James Omeh and the victims in Aba could have been prevented if the governments of Niger State and Abia State did their jobs. We must wake up. We must rise above sentiments. We must demand better.
Until we learn to direct our anger at the systems that fail us, Nigeria will keep burying her citizens - not just because of rain or billboard collapse, but because of our silence.

On my way to support a friendโs party last night ( Dj kaydee), I got stopped by men of the @RiversPoliceNG at Obiri-kwere junction (just before entering ozouba properly. They searched me the first time and found nothing on me. One of them kept on insisting I was a yahoo boy after
@IremideAdeoye_f It's for the patient ones. Just relax, enjoy the story and see life from the eyes of lowly Nigerians. No forced scene, no over the top acting.
I saw a sneakers at Meadow Hall, Sheffield
It was a new designer's work
I must say it is very beautiful
I went I to the shop to price it
They told me the price
I didn't flinch
I said I want size so and so
They went to check it
I said "Holy Spirit, pls don't let them have my size
This year alone, over five Nigerian Catholic priests have been murdered by terrorists while over twenty-five others have been abducted by terrorists and were lucky enough to have been released unharmed.
Catholic Priests in Nigeria have become targets of attacks by terrorists.
There is only one man in Nigeria capable of building the best campus of the Nigerian Law School. That man is Gov. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON.
Tell me, who in Nigeria wouldn't want to come to Port Harcourt now for his/her Law School? ๐
