@ThePoke I remember the first time I went to London to see the Christmas lights, getting very excited by what would surely be a spectacular multicolour display...except this was the year they were sponsored by Tango. Orange and orange only:
@PulpLibrarian My friend Sarah's dad had a CB radio and we went on it with "Tesla Girls" as our handle. Twelve-yr-old girls talking to strangers, all totally normal in the 80s.
@ChrisGPackham@CABS_REPORTS Time to start shaming (and prosecuting!) the restaurants serving ambelopoulia - removing the demand for the ingredients will have a massive impact.
@PeteBritish@FrankRGardner It's very good for staving off colds and coughs over the winter (at least, that's what I tell myself as I enjoy another dram).
@HorribleSanity Buses going over this bridge have an automated announcement says: "Please observe the Manx tradition by saying โHello Fairiesโ as we cross the Fairy Bridge..." (pause)"Hello fairies."
@SunnieDunne She was indeed killed by a tiger in Malmesbury! A travelling menagerie came to town, and set up in the yard of the inn where Hannah worked. She teased the caged tiger once too often, and ended up being mauled by it.
@sallyannemartyn@ScarredForLife2 Full episode here (also includes the "invention of shoes" sketch, which is often imitated in our house): https://t.co/oIOXKAfrWu
@ScarredForLife2@serafinowicz My first ever nightmare was caused by that episode of Rod Hull! I still feel chills thinking about it. Here's a clip, if Peter can stand it (poor quality, but I think that adds to the weirdness): https://t.co/78hxBTb166
