@Lazershow1@djcooler50 I thought you were referring to Bananza (which I would consider to be a masterpiece) have I been asleep on Pokopia all this time?
@Goblinn64@FrogBoy868@voyan38 And that isn’t even considering Majora being developed as an expansion to Ocarina as well as Wind Waker having to rush its development and cut content.
@Goblinn64@FrogBoy868@voyan38 Oot > Majora. 2 years
Majora > Wind Waker. 2 years
Wind Waker > Twilight Princess. 4 years
Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword . 5 years
Skyward Sword > BotW. 6 years
BotW > TotK. 6 years
Yea, so the last time that happened was 20+ years ago on the GameCube.
@All_Might93@Shikiryu05@strawhat_monsta@SLOplays No ofc, I do think it’s important to also critique things like this as well. I know a lot of times I can get so lost in my hype that i forget that not everyone enjoys what I enjoy and if a company is only catering to one side of its fanbase then it’s failing the rest!
@Shikiryu05@All_Might93@strawhat_monsta@SLOplays Different strokes fs but I am a massive marvel fan. Seeing Jean and Logan fighting together did get a pop out of me. It didn’t look like anything groundbreaking but my bias cannot be denied. Gow looks good but I just don’t find that series very captivating personally
@TheGamingGoomba@Hombre_Cueva666@RSGabe1 I think this is a poor perspective, as someone who prefers to play games on my Switch compared to my PS5, it excites me that KH4 is gonna be on Switch 2 day one. Not everything is about outdoing other companies but rather making gaming more inclusive and giving gamers options.
@All_Might93@strawhat_monsta@Shikiryu05@SLOplays God of War doesn’t appeal to me tbh. Wolverine looks fun tho, can’t wait for that. Overall, I’d take a new Fire Emblem or Persona over both those titles anyday.
@All_Might93@strawhat_monsta@Shikiryu05@SLOplays By this logic almost all games announced or spotlighted during the Xbox showcase don’t really matter.
I am judging each showcase individually by what was shown and how much enjoyment I got from it. I never said KH4 wouldn’t be multi-platform.
@strawhat_monsta@Shikiryu05@All_Might93@SLOplays Fortune’s Weave gameplay/release date, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Xenoblade Genesis reveal, Muramasa reveal, Ninjala 2, FF Resonance, DQ Monsters. I think the only competition for Nintendo is Xbox due to Castlevania, Crazy Taxi, P4, and P6 imho.
@User_Matt123@sleepy_shivers@DanielH45737382@flowflow_2slow 2017 was a great year for them but I also think context is important. The Switch 1 had so much to prove after the failure of the Wii U, so they had to come out guns blazing imo. Not saying the Switch 2 doesn’t have to prove itself but there is slightly more breathing room.
@User_Matt123@sleepy_shivers@DanielH45737382@flowflow_2slow Oh yea, that’s fair. I do think prioritizing new games should always come first especially since there is NSO. With that being said, I do think a lot of their NEW drops do get overshadowed because people are so hyper focused on new Marios, Zeldas, etc.
@User_Matt123@sleepy_shivers@DanielH45737382@flowflow_2slow Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, Mario Kart World, DK Bananza, Legends ZA, Pokopia, Tomodachi Life, Metroid Prime 4, Mario Tennis Fever, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Splatoon Raiders, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. These are all new games.
@invvni_@cjspeedy72@ByDobson That’s totally fair and I have similar sentiments to Vince Staples (self-titled). I think it’s so cool that we can have such expansive discourse on his discography and that each project tells its own story in a way that manages to resonate with each person differently.
@cjspeedy72@invvni_@ByDobson True shout on the overall discography but I completely disagree with your initial take.
I would argue that his work from this decade is miles ahead of anything prior to 2020. I am of the opinion that he almost always provides a better project than his previous.
