Rest in peace, Marjane Satrapi.
We've lost one of the world's greatest cartoonists.
It is gut wrenching to think how her story began with a homeland at war, and it ended with it at war still.
RIP Marjane Satrapi, such a shocking and tragic loss for feminist literature and cinematography 💔 I'm still mad about the losers who smeared her and misconstrued Persepolis as "imperialist propaganda" only a few months ago...
@womenpostingws Difference between 4am and 2am is negligible - both are "just take 'the Devil's Nap' and don't actually go to bed' the night before" starting times for me. 😅
This entire conversation might be my favorite Doom Patrol Moment ever, Kate and Cliff’s dynamic works so well together. The deconstruction of gender/ being into an intrapersonal identity that manifests socially is fantastic! The allegory for passing fits Cliff so well!
@HakataQueen@dancefeverqueen If it isn't illegal to time bathroom breaks in Japan, or anywhere else for that matter, then it still ought to be illegal.
@SophieStardusts@Babsfavorite "Act like" "for some reason"
I assume she actually is some people's favorite Batman character? What would be wrong with that? She's not my personal favorite, but I always thought she was cool.
I consider Fast Friends a very important milestone in DC's history and so few others do. a HEROIC openly gay character, with no beating around the bush or subterfuge like Extrano, and an actually well written character instead of a joke. Piper's premise ages better every day
Kane being interviewed asked about gen AI during an interview for the film basically confirmed for me that the AI readings ppl have had for the film are 100% intentional
You know what was great about Siskel & Ebert? They didn't spend half of every episode analyzing box office and pretending to be industry insiders. They just watched the movies and talked about their reactions.
