The inevitable Phoenix Suns Implosion is here. Soon KD & Booker will be traded.
If we had the option of signing Jimmy Butler & trading for Kevin Durant this summer, would you do it?
I think you answered many of your own questions in the last two replies to your original tweet. Look how circumstances have changed so drastically with the Nets over last year. Much of it was out of Marks' control. By remaining flexible, he can pivot to virtually any route.
12. Overall, one thing is clear. This is not the New Jersey Nets. This is the Brooklyn Nets. The team (rightfully) believes that it can attract top talent. AND also does not believe it needs to go through a classic small market tear it down tanking like DET or UTAH.

Maybe competition with/different market than team store?
I appreciate this on one level, but you could see Jordi jumping up and down on the sidelines and talking to his asst. coaches trying to figure out what in the heck he was doing.
Nice article, but you have to mention the last time the Nets scored 2 points or fewer in final 6:55 of a regulation win was Game 2 of the 2003 NBA finals!
For the first time since 2003, the Nets won a game in which they scored two points or fewer in the final 6:55 of regulation. Interesting stat from the @YESNetwork broadcast.
Cam Thomas' early buckets were crucial, because Brooklyn nearly suffered another epic fourth-quarter collapse.

Yes, this has been my argument all along. I've been a staunch Marks defender. I wonder what influence ownership is having on these decisions. To me, culture, coaching and flexibility are all in our corner and to our advantage.
@NetsHistory They may well be too late in the game, but ultimately it all comes down to how the ping pong balls bounce. The reason they're late is Marks' incompetence. The vets should have been gone before training camp after he made the trade with the Rockets.
I think it needs to be clarified. Two separate arguments.
IMO should the Nets tank?
Will Sean Marks tank?
My answer to the second question is: no.
My answer to the first, is: they are too late in the game for a realistic shot at top 3 in this draft.
Those putting all the eggs in the draft lottery basket, I tried to warn you this was a strong possibility. I'm not saying this is the route they should take, but based on the track record and moves made to this point, I'm not surprised at all.
