Almost all human rights struggle faced by the disability community intersects with or is defined by the denial of access to reliable communication for NonSpeakers.
This deceptive, exploitative behavior is why, and we need you to see it. ๐๐๐
https://t.co/Zzf8FNJtzo โI am here to express my strong support for SB 483 because my son Max cannot,โ Langley told committee members. โIt is impossible to adequately describe what it's like to lose a child, especially when you know they died a slow, painful and terrifying death at the hands of someone who was supposed to educate and care for him.โ #ShineOnMax
We asked @RCSLT to take the views of non-speaking Autistic people. We would like to see that happen. Non-speakers have a lot to say. @NeuroClastic https://t.co/x5m3zq3h83 9/11
@dailyhozierpics I desperately wanted to get more of the story that was shown in the preview. Does anyone know the location and what he was walking towards?
@berutei It's telling that you willfully deceive people then pass basic knowledge off as word salad. Your gaslighting is as basic as your lies.
Why are you trying to push people who struggle off the ladder?
Are you being paid to create propaganda?

@berutei Yes, the more spasticity happens, the more passive stretching is necessary.
A spasm shortens the muscle like a rope that's far too tight. It immobilizes the other muscles until you create some slack in the rope.
So this is your new job? The same sealioning, but in Japanese?
@berutei Why would you rather appeal to the savior in people and reinforce their ignorance than teach them basic information about disability supports?
You could be using your gifts to provide resistance, metaphorically, by interjecting science, nuance, honesty, and community.
๐งต Communication rights a thread
As a society, we need to recognize and address the systemic barriers that prevent non-speakers from accessing communication. The lack of access to communication not only violates their fundamental human rights but also perpetuates social exclusion and marginalization. Non-speakers are often denied equal opportunities for education, employment, and social participation, this is unacceptable. We must take action to ensure that they have access to the necessary supports and accommodations to overcome these barriers.
@berutei He has hypertonia, severe spasticity. This means that pulling and creating resistance are things he can do much more easily. This is the opposite of hypotonia, where a person would struggle to move. I'm guessing you didn't really need that basic information, though.
@berutei Tenbata has severe spasticity, which anyone familiar with motor disability like cerebral palsy would understand. Everything his support worker is doing is standard. Of course you'd try to exploit people's ignorance about disability because this is how you waste your gifts.
@berutei@skyfarm1229 Auditory Scanning is a common technique for blind nonspeakers to communicate. It's not facilitated communication. What's heartbreaking is you trying to invalidate a man's herculean efforts because he has a movement disability.
@AltTeaching@PamelaSnow2@JasonTraversPhD RPM, S2C, and RPM are not abusive and appalling.
Please see this thread. Jason Travers is deceiving people intentionally at profound cost to the humanity and rights of people with pronounced motor disabilities.

@PamelaSnow2@JasonTraversPhD What is it you stand to gain from this, Pamela? Why are you participating in deception and the willful obstruction of basic human rights.
