@NIH Ahhh yes... Defunding projects you don't like/agree with. Famously a GREAT way to increase discourse and champion freedom of academic pursuits. Thanks Dr. Bhattacharya /s 🙄
@pixel__peeper @Jukanlosreve Seeing individual hairs on the butt of a bee from 5 yards.... More data collected leads to more impressive feats like this. Ask an iPhone to take a picture of the moon and then do it on a Galaxy. They seem like they're from totally different decades of technology.
@MKBHD Why can't Samsung just put the 200 megapixel sensor behind an actual 10x optical zoom. Don't do any Pixel binning and actually just use the raw pixel density at that optical zoom and only then start to do the AI post-processing.
@GPTLincVibe @KaladinFree @OpenAI But the tool is already immensely powerful. It's worth subscribing to Plus if you are a major user of the service just for the prioritization and more access to data for fast responses. What is your use case where interruptible voice with quirky emotion is the most important?
@elmo Doing pretty well Elmo. Have the job of my dreams where I feel like I'm really making a difference. Great friends and loved ones. Been cooking and eating some really good food lately. Finding beautiful places outside to eat it. Life's not all bad Elmo. 😊
@zach_london@Neurdle@OligoclonalBand@jamarobarron I'm having a ton of fun with this. I've pulled out lists of brand names, molecular weights, years of approval, indications, Mechanisms of action. Studying via games is fun haha. Still no solution yet. Hmmmm
Someone with neglect will "see" or "feel" it but can't pay attention or act on it. One interesting exception is that some people may emotionally react to something surprising or uncomfortable on that side but may not know WHY or what caused that reaction. #NNN 🧠🤯
Researchers tackled the subject of consciousness/experience by recording directly from electrodes implanted in the brain.
Results seem to suggest that we are only experiencing a small percentage of the sensory information we take in.

This dovetails nicely with one of the most interesting neurology symptoms: Neglect. Since attention/awareness is a separate function from sensation, some strokes/injuries (to parietal lobe) will cause a person to be unaware of anything on one whole side of their world.
So if the bird is gone and the company is called "X" do I no longer "tweet?" Well I don't X very much but I like reading other people's... errr X'es(?) so maybe I should X some more...
@goldfingermusic I might be biased because Goldfinger is also my last name but I love your music. Was hoping to be able to see you at "When We Were Young Festival" but sadly probably not in the budget... 🥲
