We are a behavioral neuroscience laboratory at North Carolina A&T studying sex differences and drug addiction during adolescent development. #HBCU#NCAT
I always get teary-eyed when I see this pop up on my feed.
This was right at the shutdown 3 years ago…
@NziaHall completed her masters in neuroscience at Georgetown and is now a med student at UNC!
All grounded in her undergrad research experiences. I miss her dearly
I am on the post-doc job market for positions starting in 2023! I am hoping to continue developing skills in the analysis of large-scale neural data - particularly applied to issues in addiction - while further developing skills in theoretical and computational neuroscience. 1/2
I am beyond elated to congratulate @NeuroMDLab1 members
Jason Dennis 🥈 (junior biology MARC and @dowdyscholars)
And
Maritza Torres Martinez 🥉 (FRESHMAN chemistry and @ncatCWScholars)
For their poster presentation awards from my lab.
They both joined in Fall 21.

One particular young man from the @NeuroMDLab1 Jason Dennis is the MVP these days.
He goes above and beyond to help these days to keep the flow of the lab.
He’s a @dowdyscholars and #MARCscholarNIH
This is excellent advice. The specific aims page is probably the most important part of your grant application. Get a solid draft of it together BEFORE you start writing the research plan, revise it often, and when you’re really happy with it, your grant is probably done.
Day 2 of #SummerResearch in the @NeuroMDLab1 2021 edition
Was spent doing some remote work scoring behavioral videos…
This is the new norm while I try to balance family dynamics and lab.
New Paper Alert 🚨:
This is at the crux of the work i want to do for my research... Explore why females are different than males in terms of adolescent alcohol exposure.

Throwback to my first year as an assistant professor!
These young ladies are the #OG crew for the @NeuroMDLab1 !
They are all currently in grad school and KILLING IT!
