Ohtani does something cool and is celebrated by media and former MLB players
Patty Mahomes or Saquan do something incredible and pre/postgame shows highlight their incredible skill.
NHL fans and former great spent the last month praising and honoring Ovechkin.
Meanwhile, in the NBA, Jokic has a 60-point triple-doubles and Shaq says “yeah but I’m better” and LeBron is putting up MVP numbers at 40 but the lead story is Stephen A saying he’d punch him
A Korean American woman just advocated for the historical relevance of a Black American man in 2025.
You know why? Because she, just like countless others can recognize that our diversity is what makes us America! Thank you, @minakimes! #KeepAdvancing
The @DeptofDefense story on Jackie Robinson has been restored to its original URL. No longer does it redirect to one with the letters "dei" in it: https://t.co/fOV2UH2m7t
This used to be the URL for a story on the @DeptofDefense website about Jackie Robinson's time in the Army. The story has been removed. The ghouls who did this should be ashamed. Jackie Robinson was the embodiment of an American hero. Fix this now. https://t.co/rEpZFUbJ8h
Since the story on the @DeptofDefense's website on Jackie Robinson has been deleted, here are the details of his service in the United States military.
In 1942, Robinson was drafted and reported to Fort Riley, Kansas. By early 1943, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant before joining the 761st tank battalion, also known as the Black Panthers.
A year later, after Robinson boarded an Army bus, the driver asked him to retreat to the back. Robinson refused -- more than a decade before Rosa Parks. Robinson was court martialed and later acquitted.
He spent the rest of his military service at Camp Breckinridge, where he coached Army athletics teams. Robinson was honorably discharged in November 1944.
Hogan Denny smashed what looked like a possible walk-off HR.
Replay upheld that it was a foul ball.
On the very next pitch, Denny lined one to right center to walk it off for @IndianaBASE 👀

All 321 of the voters who made their Hall of Fame ballots public voted for Ichiro Suzuki. The one person who didn’t vote for Ichiro will remain a mystery.
(Here’s the part where I state the obvious: Everyone should make their ballots public. Accountability matters.)
Kirkwood going pedestrian only from March to November. Not a huge inconvenience for uber drivers as 7th and 4th work quite well to move east/west. Wouldn’t be mad if they made this permanent and hardscaped this stretch of Kirkwood to add to the ambiance.
A suggestion so that one or three voters don't make the BBWAA look bad: The group should make its participation in the voting contingent on the HOF releasing all ballots to the public. It only makes sense that an association of journalists would insist upon transparency.
