A visionary step forward for Yobe State. Grounding a 25-year plan in practical budgets, institutional accountability, and measurable outcomes is real governance in action. Outstanding leadership in driving SDP 2050 across the finish line! 👏🇳🇬
Kudus @DrGojeM
Earlier, I inaugurated the Yobe State 25-Year Development Plan (SDP 2050) Finalization Committee, in line with the directive of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, to bring this important long-term planning process to a timely and credible conclusion.
The SDP 2050 is more than a planning document; it is intended to serve as Yobe State’s long-term development compass—providing continuity beyond political and administrative cycles, guiding investment and resource allocation, and translating our aspirations into measurable outcomes.
I charged the Committee to work with urgency and technical discipline to deliver, within shortest possible time, a realistic, financially credible and implementable Plan that connects our 25-year vision to sector strategies, annual budgets, capital programmes and institutional performance.
Our responsibility is clear: to define where Yobe should be in the next 25 years, what we must do to get there, what we must invest, and how we will measure progress.

SSG INSPECTS UPGRADED SUNSUNMA WATER FACILITY
Today, I inspected the rehabilitated Sunsunma Water Facility, upgraded by the Yobe State Water Corporation. The hybrid-powered borehole, using solar, generator and national grid, is now supplying water to the community.
On behalf of Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, I commended the Corporation and urged residents to protect and maintain the facility. With solar power infrastructure and ongoing road construction, H.E. commitment to community development remains sacrosant
As directed by His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, I visited the MD/CEO of the Bank of Agriculture, Mr. Ayodeji Oludare @ayosotinrin, in Abuja to explore strategic partnerships to expand tractor access, affordable farm financing, electric cargo tricycles and Agri-Hubs for Yobe farmers.
Our goal is to boost productivity, strengthen rural livelihoods, reduce post-harvest losses and advance food security across Yobe State.
“Through a ₦230.62 million investment, 43,928 vulnerable women across Yobe State will have the opportunity to own 20 Dangote Refinery shares each, with a matching grant from the Aliko Dangote Foundation bringing the total investment to ₦461.24 million. This is empowerment beyond handouts—towards asset ownership, financial independence and lasting prosperity.”

On this #DayOfTheGirl, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding girls’ access to quality education in Yobe State.
Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, CON, we remain focused on increasing girls’ enrolment, strengthening educational infrastructure and creating safe, inclusive learning environments.
Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, lead and thrive. Investing in girls today means building a stronger Yobe tomorrow.

Today, I declare the 2027 Budget Bilateral Discussions open. May Almighty Allah guide our deliberations and continue to bless Yobe State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Below are some excerpts from my speech:
On Tuesday September 29, 2026. I represented His Excellency, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, at the opening of the 2027 Citizens’ Engagement and Budget Dialogue in Damaturu.
The dialogue reinforces the Buni administration's commitment to participatory governance by giving citizens, civil society and other stakeholders a meaningful voice in shaping the State’s development priorities.
In His Excellency’s address I presented, emphasis was placed on fiscal realism, accountability, value for money and completion of ongoing projects, with the proposed projected ₦437 billion 2027 budget designed to align expenditure with realistic revenues while consolidating development gains across Yobe State.
This dialogue further demonstrates Governor Buni’s commitment to a government that listens to its people, plans responsibly and delivers on its priorities.
