A couple of angry comments from a handful of Inslee-Ferguson minions demanding "proof" or "receipts" that the State Supreme Court held its defiance of the people's support of the natural gas initiative. And my belief that the Court did so to intimidate and discourage WA voters from supporting the 3 new initiatives on the ballot this fall.
Here are the "receipts."
State Supreme Court judge Barbara Madsen retired earlier this year, effective April 3. She joined the 6-judge majority that rejected the people's will on the natural gas initiative last week, in mid-September.
Now, this isn't quite a smoking gun because Madsen signed the bad opinion "JPT" for "judge pro tem." That means she was on a temporary assignment for the Court, likely soon after the effective date of her retirement. But, when I spoke last week with my sources around the Court, their response was: "Good catch on Madsen. Yeah, that opinion was ready months ago. We sat on it."

In testimony to the Seattle Council's Public Safety Committee, SPD Chief Tyrone Davis (who was in charge of the scene) laid out exactly what happened including how Deputy Mayor Brian Surratt would not allow him to inform the public what was happening, just 90 minutes after the shooting. He testified:

"We were ready to go, and I was getting ready to walk [down to the waiting press]. I told the Deputy Mayor as a courtesy...and I was told we need to wait for the Mayor.
I gave him alternatives, the first was that we do the presser now...and the press conference the next morning. I was still told to wait.
I offered a second alternative which is that we do the presser now, and then maybe do one when the Mayor gets here...and I was also asked to wait."

As Hana Kim explains; "That statement is significant because it contradicts what the Mayor said back in July."

Making matters worse for Mayor Katie Wilson is the news that broke today, that she also lied about her 'gun violence prevention plan' having the backing of the King County Prosecutor and the US. Attorney for the Western District. But that is a post for later..
