A new review of a very old short story collection of mine.
"Pacotti is one of the great sci-fi authors of our era, and when the history of fin de millénaire literature is written—if it is written—it will be impossible not to include his name in it."

Still on a futurism kick… just launched a weekly podcast that explores when we’ll have things like domestic robots, O’Neill Cylinders, immortality, etc.

Now I can get back to the novel I was writing. After which I will return to the space combat game.
And now . . . a website for predicting the future. Meant to be amusing as an encyclopedia of predictions but also hopefully useful to futurists and science fiction writers.

Still working on a space shooter, but in the meantime here's a novelette to help pass the time.
It’s about a Chinese-American journalist trying to make it in the land of free speech and in the land of… other things.

Part 2 to follow on the 28th.
Finally circling back to the space game after a detour writing fiction. The simulations of plasma and electricity are now fully integrated. Many rough edges and remaining problems, but the core concept is starting to work.

Closer to an "electric storm" after adding lightning bolts (um, line segments w/ colliders) to the MPM sim. Still working with jelly cubes for now, but less abstract is the opening showing a few gameplay ideas like "cinematic flight."
Have bad neighbors? Ever dream of sabotaging their wall of bamboo or silly flower beds? Then you might like this #boardgame about suburban turf wars from a colleague of mine. Looks like it’s funded and on its way into the world. https://t.co/NOhwKFjDts. @GadaboutGames.
@kickstarter Not sure if anyone will see a reply to such an old post, but Episode 1 of this game/hypertext from Joannes Truyens is now available here: https://t.co/bvyrhTiuex. Enjoy!
For you intellectual gamers: a hyper-realistic emulation of the global conspiracies of the 2040s... via an experience like surfing the web: "Neurocracy, a sci-fi hypertext story." Full disclosure: I am in a cameo as an AI researcher. @Kickstarter https://t.co/RyubPO6O2l
@algorithmboomer Yes, with Chris Todd and Austin Grossman, and story design by much of the team. Sorry for the lag -- I'm still living in 2000 re: Twitter skills.
Some science fiction about behavior-modification medicine, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, hacking, and Alabama. One of my more literary/experimental sci-fi stories...
