Where are the @edmontonpolice on this?
A man was almost run over and killed when he was pushed into traffic for legitimately expressing his point of view during a legal referendum campaign green lit by @ElectionsAB .
The @edmontonpolice need to intervene.
This behaviour has been escalating, and it is consistently coming from one side. It cannot continue to be ignored.
If nothing is done, it will only get worse. By now, the police have publicly seen enough and received enough complaints that they cannot continue to turn a blind eye. The same applies to @ElectionsAB.
It is time to enforce the law, restore public confidence, and ensure people can participate in our democratic process without intimidation or fear.
@ikwilson@JonFromAlberta Done.
Let’s not forget we are in a culture war, Keith.
Please do take a look (and listen) to some of the videos we have previously posted.
We can contribute to the cause.
Mark Carney basically announcing a bail out for Vancouver and area developers;
Too many completed condos sitting empty. Metro Vancouver alone around 2,500 finished units are standing vacant with no buyers.
They don't want to sell at a loss, they can't afford to hold those empty units indefinitely.
We will convert vacant condos into affordable housing. We're going to go use the right financing mechanisms, convert those into affordable housing so people can move in and use that."
Greed and horrible municipal planning has led to building overpriced shitboxes that no one wants.
Now Carney will reward that with taxpayer dollars instead of letting the market solve itself by bringing the prices down.
Absurd intervention.
I thought he was an economist??
FACT CHECK: Canadian banks with branches in multiple provinces could choose to remain in Alberta under what would presumably be a similar regulatory structure to those in most developed countries.

Canada is a collection of cartels.
Grocery retail, telecoms, banks, airlines, dairy, universities, real estate, lawyers and other professions, and many more.
Governments protect them. No reforms will be permitted that threaten their status. It’s not a “free market” economy.
@sarobertson_ So, Quebec’s referenda on separation will be tolerated.
And Alberta’s wont be tolerated.
…because Quebec isn’t the gravy train for Ottawa…?
Doubtful @inklessEJ
Alberta doesn’t have a provincial sales tax.
We don’t have a homes sales/transfer tax.
And your gas prices are amongst the highest in the country because of carbon taxes.
I’m all for folks pointing out the potential risks of Alberta separating. That’s a healthy part of the debate.
But this whole “the separation debate is killing investment” argument is complete BS. Every economic indicator says the exact opposite. Every. Single. One.
Muzzling important discussions is foolish. Have a free and open debate and trust Albertans to make the right decision.
