@Mark__Ballou Congrats on choosing freedom. 11 months ago seems like it was so long ago AND like it was just yesterday simultaneously. Stick with it, I promise you that it is so much better than you could ever imagine!
Would have never imagined this was possible when I was caught in the hamster wheel of drinking. But today I have officially made it through my first year sober. Eternally grateful for everyone’s help and encouragement these past 365 days! #RecoveryPosse#sober
@_withoutalcohol Hang in there. It may not seem like it now, but things will absolutely get better. My divorce sent me on a path of about 2 years of self-destructive drinking, but a year removed from that, I am now happily married with a beautiful baby boy to show for it.
@cgraw1 A major trigger for me is the thought of enjoying a beer with friends in the beautiful weather. I have found that having one or two NA beers totally eliminates that trigger and allows me to see clearly that what I really enjoyed in the first place was good company with friends.
@Midnight_Rain52 So great! When you’re deep in it, you can’t even fathom the possibility of things getting better. Isn’t it crazy how things CAN change if you let it? I know I am worlds away from where I was just 2 years ago.
@sober_laddi Chances are they have also been questioning their relationship with alcohol. I wouldn’t be surprised if one or more of them follow your lead and make an attempt at sobriety.
