How does Vietnamese mother wisdom and gold relate to my belief that #Bitcoin and #digitalassets can deliver good?

This is the story of my mom ... and her foresight in Saigon 1975 to buy gold pieces, and to carry that gold with her (in fabric tied around her waist secretly under her clothes) out of #Vietnam to America. A few years later, those gold pieces provided the money to help buy our family's first house in the US.

Today, this story informs my thinking about how #blockchain-powered assets can help everyone - no matter how rich or poor - preserve & transact asset value globally across borders. Even after your country's borders may be re-written and even after your country's currency becomes worthless overnight.

As a Vietnamese American and now a global entrepreneur, I believe new technology - and a dose of old wisdom - can be a WIN for my native Vietnam and the world.
