@beinlibertarian Yep, trying to convince people that the reality they see every day is wrong is insane levels gaslighting. They also feel that either you’re lying or just totally out of touch. Either way it doesn’t make them want to vote for you.
@jackunheard Make Capitalism work for average people then. Communism is idiotic but if you have nothing right now and someone promises you something for free, you’ll take it.
@nyaraVT Exactly, the best way to stop the spread of Communism is to make people’s lives so good under Capitalism they’d never consider another system.
Socialism does not work. However, the best way to prevent its spread is making Capitalism work for the people allured by Socialism. Right now people are struggling financially and they don’t feel this is the “Golden Age.” The Republican Party, who control every branch of government at the moment, NEED to do more.
Americans don’t actually want third parties. They’re just frustrated that they seeming have no leverage over their own parties. You could say just elect different people but if someone different appears the parties will throw infinite money at them to kick them out like Massie. And even in the event that they win they always seem to completely conform to the party which is always delivering the bare minimum of that their supporters want.
I believe the creation of a 3rd party won’t fix our problems. That’s why recapturing the Republican Party from the hands of donors should be our main objective.
@TheRabbitHole The 1st Amendment gives you the protection to be wrong and say things that are false. I don’t have a problem with her encouraging media literacy, that’s actually quite needed. You just can’t then decide to label anything you personally think is untrue as being misinformation.
@KristanHawkins This is a way I haven’t heard it put before, and it’s harsh, but true. I think if more women on the fence about going through with an abortion heard this, they may change their mind.
@ScottJenningsKY Young Republicans feel the same way. Israel is a toxic issue for both sides and soon it will be highly politically advantageous to denounce the state of Israel.
It’s not a “big tent” it’s a total fracturing of ideology. The establishment is terrified of the rise of socialism in their party and how the elected candidates seem to be less willing to be controlled. I don’t endorse socialism but it is kinda amusing seeing the democrats getting consumed by monster of their own creation.
