After finding out that Tutash was named TQLs carrier of the year, I decided to dig.
In 2022, they named KTM United Inc as the carrier of the year. In 2024, this carrier was placed OOS by the FMCSA.
But its not just TQL. For example, CH Robinson named GARESP Transportation Solution as one of the carriers of the year in 2025. This carrier has a driver OOS rate of 30%. One of the violations? On December 31, 2025, "Operate a CMV and does not possess a valid CDL".
So I have a question: what constitutes "Carrier of the Year"?
This trucking company is out of Louisville, Ohio. Started in 2022, with no safety rating by the FMCSA.
Three other trucking companies share this address. Out-of-service rates are above the national average.
None of this is surprising.
This is absolute crap. This raises a serious question of how brokers do their vetting: what are you guys looking at? The surface level stuff or do you dig deeper?
