Congratulations @Gsabiolab on organizing the @SEBBM_es meeting in this beautiful venue - wonderful meeting showcasing great science and giving opportunities for trainees.
¿Conoces ya a todos nuestros ponentes de charlas plenarias? En nuestro #47congresosebbm tendremos la oportunidad de disfrutar de la ponencia de nuestra premiada @iubmb Alexandra Newton
First author Celeste Gauron visited our lab on an @iubmb Wood Whelan Fellowship during her PhD studies, Un Mendoza 🇦🇷, to learn about PKC. She returned to do her postdoctoral studies in our lab, which culminated in this collaborative study with @RudyTanzi on PKCeta in Alzheimer’s
Performing a genome-wide analysis of families afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, a team identifies a mutant form of the kinase PKC-eta that’s mislocalized at the Golgi apparatus and starkly disrupts the behavior of cells. @RudyTanzi@NewtonLab@UCSDPharm https://t.co/EFxKkY4n76

It is with great sadness that we share the news that IUBMB Past President Prof Joan Guinovart @IRBBarcelona passed away today. A brilliant biochemist and educator, his dedication, commitment, and leadership spanning two decades had an enormous impact on the IUBMB mission.
First met Joan Guinovart at IUBMB conf in 2016. In 2018, he became my forever mentor and friend when he became Past President and I became President Elect of @IUBMB. Always a true scholar, often texting me in Greek, with a great sense of humour, he enriched the lives of so many.
It was always a joy being with you! In picture below Alexandra Newton @NewtonLab , President of @iubmb, myself, Juan Guinovar and Rosa Guinovar. We were so happy in Milano last July 2024, attending the FEBS @FEBSnews Congress. I can not believe I can not be with you in 2025!
