@PhilipThalis @OurNewHomecoach Supermarket duopoly saves on penalty rates; pub and clubs get more boozers and pokies cha-chings; nrl and afl become the only entertainment; and a touch of glorification of our overseas war participation.
One stone, bunch of birds caught, great move until it backfires...
@SenatorWong Dear Penny,
All those big words such as "human rights", "freedom of speech", "democratic value" will mean very little to the Australian people if those mottoes are applied discriminatorily and only when it is convenient.
@JoshButler Did Mr Albanese ask others to do better for Mr Assange? Or is Mr Assange irrelevant because it is not in the Australian national interest to defend freedom of speech against the country that set revolving self-serving rules on the freedom of speech.
@rebequewest @Sophiemcneill@SenatorWong If foreign minister Wong can justify herself having meetings with Israeli and US counterparts, then surely she is not new to the atrocities of killing people, unless she has different definitions for different people. People are people, and escapism provides no resolution.

@lonsdalesystems @SWinHealth @Stirling20121@Globalbiosec If science alone can manage Covid, we should be out of the woods already, aren't we among the most scientifically advanced countries in the world? Covid exposed individual behavior, value system, political organisation - areas not covered by scientism.
The "Is–ought problem".
@zerocovidni @malaconotus@Globalbiosec Sometimes you wonder whether "the golden age of the modern world" is nothing but a mirage that was intended to defer the reality we are all unconsciously avoiding to see.
@UFIPplayer @MikeCarlton01 How would Australia feel, if China were to militarily align with Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and have warheads based in these countries pointing towards Australia. Let alone the historical and geographical connections between Russia and Ukraine. NATO is the culprit.
