@Ben_forestikyo@SirLeoBDasilva Sirach is not only in the Ethiopian Bible. It is part of the Deuterocanonical books which is not found in the protestant Bible, but all apostolic churches have it, catholic, orthodox etc
@paxthetruth Döbra and Roman Catholic hospital were built by the Catholic Church. When it comes to church social infrastructure, it has nothing to do with black or white leaders but the Social Teachings of the Church.
@SimanekaMbeeli It seems the BSN translation approach will be kind of dynamic equivalent ( thought for thought)for both Oshindonga and Oshikwanyama. The current Oshindonga version reads more like a paraphrase than Oshikwanyama which is more of a word for word translation
@SimanekaMbeeli From 1870 to 1954, that's a long time for them to master the language. The last "re-translation" or maybe review was done in 2008. The new translation project started in 2017 and will take about 10 years. Apparently it's needed due to changing vocabulary etc
@prof_abed_ @TheBlckGenius No Namibian institution offers CTA which is NQF 8. After the bachelor of chartered accountancy everyone does their CTA at SA unis. Also 38 people graduated from Unam.
@MT_ALWEENDO@mOkapendi But that is how the chartered accountancy programme is structured. After this they do the Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (NQF 8) where if you fail one module, you repeat the whole year.
@Hamnjela So with the credit life policy you just got charged a once-off percentage based on your loan amount and you were covered over the duration of the loan term without having to use your life policy.
@Hamnjela Credit life policies were useful before the change in rule that one could cede their life policy for multiple debts. Previously if you wanted to take out a loan of N$200k and your life policy is N$1 million, you were forced to cede the whole cover amount
@NamPostNamibia@NamPostNamibia will this still follow the current process whereby our parcels get held up for up to a month without being processed? Or will there be an expedited process? The backlog is a deterrent at the moment.
@Xtra_Sipho@TheNamibian But in short, once the bill has become operationalized people would be able to access Healthcare at any accredited Healthcare provider irrespective of their income.
@ndimukwanyama If Windhoek has a culture, it is not easily felt by people that just land in the country. Most other African cities are also multicultural, but the vibe is felt immediately.
@DaveDaDonn I think in the urban areas. It probably has something to do with colonialism but a lot of visitors make comments like Windhoek does not feel like Africa, not because of buildings, but due to the lack of culture.
@DaveDaDonn Here everything we consume is the creation of others and our cultures have not contributed. In fact local foods, crafts, etc are for those that have not made it in life.
@DaveDaDonn This also has implications in terms of the economy, we're unable to monetize our culture in the urban space in a meaningful way and benefit from it. In other countries, the urban economy and local culture go hand in hand.
