Russell Hobbs. Belfast Bikes biggest fan. Drives a lot, cycles fair bit too. Let's be friends and share the busy roads safely. Doesn't like waste. McCausbot.
Officers at #RichmondPark have been dealing with a road traffic collision between Kingston Gate and Ham Gate after the driver of a vehicle slowed to allow some geese to cross the road and a male on a bicycle collided into the rear of her vehicle and through the back window.
Nobody wants to play “Spot The Cyclist”!
Officers from Road Policing Maydown provided this cyclist on the Dunhill Road with a hi vis jacket to see him safely home. Especially at this time of year, make sure you are easily seen, as demonstrated in photo 2. #KeepingPeopleSafe
@RobertLaverty12@belfastcc I’m surprised, given how keen the councillors are for a selfie and virtue signalling, that there hasn’t been more marketing of their green credentials
Infrastructure minister “we must do more to reduce carbon dioxide emissions such as electric vehicles or we’ll May look at emission charging in the city centre”. Also Infrastructure Minister - https://t.co/BEJ5iDOM5S
@oharamal Has there been a reduction in car ownership along the existing Glider routes? (I don’t know, but guessing q needs asked before claiming benefit). I note that air quality pollutants on Antrim Rd is listed as “Low” & increased from mid Oct. Wood burning stoves causing that?
@oharamal Genuine questions here. Do you think more buses will make a sufficient enough difference to car ownership? Is that what you’re hearing on the doors from impacted residents? Will there be a cost to the residents for this parking scheme?
I continue to dip in and out of here every so often due to covid. To be honest, there is nothing for me to say. The cycling lobby are having a melt down every day over minor things. Today was another great example. Dublin road?
