💙 It is with profoundly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Officer Danielle McClendon.

Danielle was more than an officer and colleague. She was family. The bonds formed in this profession are unlike those of an ordinary job. We spend countless hours together, depend on one another, laugh together, and struggle together. Somewhere along the way, coworkers become family. Danielle was our family.

Her loss is felt deeply throughout the South Fulton Police Department. Our department will not be the same without her, but we will hold tightly to the memories she gave us and the impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Please keep Danielle’s family, friends, loved ones, and the entire South Fulton Police Department family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.

K9 BART IS DEAD.

K9 Bart sat outside for 36 hours with no water while the man who was supposed to feed him wasn't even home.

Madison County, Tennessee. Bart, a German Shepherd just over 2 years old, worked patrol, criminal apprehension, tracking, article searches, and narcotics. Sheriff Julian Wiser says his own handler left him unattended outside for approximately 36 hours with zero access to water while the heat index sat at 101 degrees.

A university vet program in Mississippi confirmed it: heat stroke from severe dehydration. Preventable. Wiser used that word himself.

The handler got administrative leave, then resigned before anyone could fire him. Now an internal affairs investigation and a criminal investigation are both running, with findings headed to outside authorities.

Thirty six hours. This dog worked apprehension, tracking, narcotics, everything asked of him, and the one thing his handler owed him back was a bowl of water and thirty seconds to check on him. He didn't get either.

A resignation isn't accountability. Charge him.

I called 911, and one of your deputies arrived at our house before the fire department and paramedics.

I wanted to let the Sheriff and @WCSOFL Deputy Katrina Cain's supervisor know what a wonderful job she did. She was calm, competent, and professional.

My wife was taken to the ER at Sacred Heart in Miramar and recovered fully as a result of the care she received from Walton County personnel.

NEW FOOTAGE FROM WILBER PEREZ ICE PURSUIT:

An Austin security company just sent me exclusive surveillance footage of DHS pursuing Wilber Perez, the illegal Venezuelan who was shot by an ICE officer.

New footage shows two DHS vehicles flashing their lights and blaring their sirens as they pursue Perez, who is speeding down the street in an attempt to flee.

Perez initially stated that, “An SUV rode next to him and tried to hit him” stating that he thought it was, “an aggressive driver”. He then stated that ICE officials did NOT ask him to stop or turn on ANY lights or sirens until AFTER they had sideswiped him.

This newly obtained footage appears to show that emergency lights and sirens had been activated while Perez fled.

It also looks like the vehicle has zero damage at this point.

This footage is from Sunday, Sept 20th at 12:45pm, right before the shooting occurred.

Wilber Perez, an illegal alien from Venezuela, had a final order for removal and was in the country illegally ,which is why DHS was originally pursuing him. He is currently in federal custody at an ICE processing facility in South Texas.
