Maybe Murph is tinkering too much but you can't not play players. When you have multiple guys (Perkins and Sanchez in particular) who are near-unplayable right now there's only so much a manager can do. Teams need pinch hitters and the Brewers don't have anyone.
Brewers PHs are batting .132 this season (27th) and .050 (somehow 29th) since the beginning of May. That's 1 hit and 4 walks in 24 PAs in that stretch. Depth is an issue right now.
@Coach_Zim_@corpdevinvestin@tipping_pitches Brewers spend a lot on scouting, development, etc. If they had ten million to spend they’d rather that go to infrastructure to reinforce the farm system than a low level free agent.
@Coach_Zim_@tipping_pitches Buddy if you think the revenue sharing is enough to cover the massive and growing revenue gaps between large and small markets you are an idiot.
@Chaos9666@whohay99@RunTheJules People have been taking about these disparities for a few decades so shut the fuck up and get back to home room before your teacher gets mad.
@dossttt@RunTheJules Agreed. I added “near” before requirement for this reason. I think a small market team *can* win but there’s a reason we haven’t seen a small market World Series winner in a decade.
@AdamCrafton_@TheAthleticFC Seems like a good time to remind fans that for $2 you can get a fountain Coke product with unlimited free refills at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Yes, even at the World Cup!
@RunTheJules 1) the goal isn’t to make the dodgers bad it’s to remove market size as a near-requirement for ultimate success.
2) other teams draft and develop well. Like the dodgers, they will do well in the new system.
