Drew Rasmussen is impressive in so many ways, but none more than the resilience and capability to have not 1, not 2, but 3 major elbow surgeries, rehab come back out and be a top arm in the league when healthy.
He might only throw 150 innings a year, but 130 of those are going to be </=1 run outings. Kevin Cash can run him that length for the rest of his career and I’d be happy with it. He deserves his flowers and much more. @RaysBaseball
A lot of MLB fans (90% Yankees) called for a Rays regression. I don’t think this is regression. I think this is pure slump. They’ve shown in over half of these games that they were 1 pitch or one error away from winning the game.
The boys need to drink some Modelo take a swim in the Bay. @RaysBaseball
@silverindow Make ballpark food and drink prices cheaper and I’m game. But paying $65 for a chicken tender “meal” and a beer is inexcusable. I’m
Not sure how often you attend Citizens bank but it’s widely accepted that you bring in your own food.
Rewatched yesterday’s @RaysBaseball game this morning.
-Drew Rasmussen ended his 3ER or less streak that stretched back to 2023. Something not to expect again for a while.
-Hitting with RISP seems to be a weak point. When they’re down they seem to go away from small ball.
-The Pen can only pitch in high leverage apparently.
-Nobody seems comfortable challenging when they’re batting. Might have changed the game completely.
-Umpire was all over the place.
Seemed like a fluke game, much like the first two in the O’s series. Go get a win today and you do your job with a series win.
Go A’s.
Shane McClanahan has a 1.17ERA against the angels in his career through 23 innings with 1.7K’s per inning.
I expect that to hold. Gonna take a wild guess and say
