52-year-old man says a new Parkinson's drug has changed his life as a video shows the before & after effects.
Damien Gath became the first patient in East Midlands, England to try the new drug Produodopa.
Gath was diagnosed with Parkinson's 12 years ago. The following videos were taken just two days apart from each other.
"I almost can't believe that's me in the video," Gath said to the BBC.
"For the last three years, I have been shaking uncontrollably for two to three hours a day."
"It's early days but now I shake for five or 10 minutes a day."
"It's been extraordinary and life-changing – just shortly after first having the treatment, I was able to make a cup of coffee more easily.
"I can start to think about getting back to a normal life."
