The fight for the Chagossians is not over.
Earlier this year, Chagossians won a landmark court victory allowing them to remain on their homeland in the Chagos Islands.
Now the Labour Government is using YOUR money to appeal that decision and try to remove them once again.
On 15 July, we return to court.
Think about that for a moment.
After decades of exile, after generations spent fighting for the right to return home, after finally securing a hard-fought victory in court, the Government is once again trying to force Chagossians off the islands of their ancestors.
At the same time, Labour continues to pursue its surrender of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, despite the fact the majority of Chagossians want to remain British and want the right to return as British citizens.
And there are questions the Government still refuses to answer.
Lawyers acting for the Chagossians have asked ministers to explain how a previous high-profile political visit to the islands was treated by the authorities.
If the Government is asking the courts to enforce rules against Chagossians, shouldn't the public know whether those same rules were applied consistently to everyone else?
One rule for Chagossians and another for everyone else?
We think the British public deserves answers.
This case is about more than a court hearing.
It is about justice.
It is about self-determination.
It is about whether the descendants of the islands' original inhabitants have the right to live on their own homeland.
It is about Chagos staying British.
Labour hopes nobody is paying attention.
Let's prove them wrong.

Did you know that in Religious Eduction (RE) as a GCSE (compulsory in many schools in the U.K. especially Church of England schools!), when our 14-16 year olds have to learn the education materials for the RE GSCE, it’s 50% Christianity and 50% Islam. That’s bizarre enough as it is. Why is it 50% on Islam?

But what is even more telling, in the two exams, the one on Islam, is ALL on Islam. Then the other exam that is supposed to be on Christianity is split in two, with one half as a compare and contrast with Islam. So in the end, the students spend about 75% of their time learning about Islam for their GCSE RE!

They are also taught that Jihad means to struggle and does not mean to wage religious war.
