"Go to the Nova Exhibition and bear witness — we cannot let the beautiful faces of those who perished be forgotten. But then get angry. Because the worst response to the barbaric cowardice of Islamist violence is our indifference."

In September 2024, @markbirbeck and @GhorbaniiNiyak stood in front of a Palestine Solidarity Campaign march with a placard saying 'Hamas are terrorists.' They were arrested, falsely charged with assaulting police officers, and forced to fight for 14 months to clear their names.
Without @antisemitism's financial and moral backing, they would have lost. They would now have criminal records, and it would be clear to other non-Jews that taking a public stand against anti-Semitism has serious personal consequences.
We remain incredibly grateful to CAA for their support, and hope that knowing they are there will embolden other non-Jews to stand publicly and visibly against anti-Semitism.
Mark, founder of @OurfightUK, held up a sign calling Hamas terrorists at a Palestine protest.
He was arrested and falsely accused of assaulting two emergency workers.
Just two days before trial, the CPS suddenly revealed it had been sitting on video footage that cleared him all along – and dropped the case.
This is Mark’s story.
🧵 1/2 Last year, on the second anniversary of October 7th, Our Fight, in partnership with British Friends of Israel, held a commemorative event in Westminster, called A Time to Speak.
Over 700 people gathered to hear testimony from survivors, interviews with parents whose children were murdered at the Nova Festival, and reports from journalists Emily Schrader and Allison Pearson. In this segment of the evening, Allison recounted an interview with Shari Mendes who described what she saw, when working as part of a team preparing bodies for burial — including bodies of young women that were brutally murdered at Nova.
Watch Allison's powerful account, and then book a ticket to the Nova Exhibition in London. (Details in next post.)

The British government should proscribe the IRGC as a terrorist organisation to prevent further terror threats and stop its activities in the UK. Standing in solidarity with the people of Iran. #BanIRGC
🧵 2/2 This week in London the Nova Exhibition opened, and will run for six weeks. Allison's presentation is a reminder of what happened, and why we should all go to this powerful exhibition.
Please visit, with family, friends and colleagues. If you would like to attend at the same time as Our Fight campaigners, you can find details of dates and times in this week's newsletter, which is available on our website. Link is also in bio.

The Nova Exhibition has come to London, and today it opened to the public. It will run for six weeks, and is a powerful document of what happened on October 7th, when Hamas and other Islamist groups brought murderous carnage to the Nova music festival.
Through video and recreations of the Nova site, the first half of the exhibition captures the chaos, noise and fear of the moment the festival was attacked and the music stopped — 6.29am.
Beyond these rooms is a larger, calmer room, lit with candles and displaying photos of all those who were murdered. Here the viewer is invited to slow down and reflect on the young lives lost.
It's a powerful exhibition, and while inducing anger and shock at the atrocities, it also provides inspiration; although many of the exhibition organisers are themselves survivors of Nova and lost many close friends, they have still been able to create something profound, and say 'we will dance again'.
The significance of the Nova Festival massacre on October 7th, 2023 is not just that nearly 400 young people lost their lives, nor the depravity of the slaughter. We must talk about — and remember — Nova and October 7th, because the world is trying to ignore it.
Please visit, with family, friends and colleagues. If you would like to attend at the same time as Our Fight campaigners, you will find details of dates and times in this week's newsletter, which is available on our website. Link in bio.

LONDON'S MARCH OF MENSCHES
To be a mensch — someone with a clear moral compass and backbone to match — in 2026, means to stand publicly and visibly with the Jewish community, at exactly the time when it's most needed.
And on Saturday, at the Unite the Kingdom march and rally in central London, we found plenty of people who were proud to say that they were allies of British Jews — real mensches.
Politicians like Starmer and Lammy, who have fanned the flames of anti-Semitism, have the gall to say that these staunch allies are far right — showing just how out of touch our leaders are.
If you want to find out more about how you can be a mensch — and help to find others — then head to the campaign page on our website (link in the bio).

"Nobody wants you" used to be the go-to taunt of the bully girls, at lunchtime in the canteen.
Nowadays the shriek of "nobody wants you" is one we hear a lot when we counter-protest, alongside "baby killers" and "rapists".
And to complete the return to the playground, our mindless, virtue-signalling wokerati have adopted the same phrase.
It would be laughable were it not so dangerous.
Bulgaria saves the Eurovision Song Contest. That’s two years running Israel has almost hijacked the competition with sus voting. Nobody wants them in the contest @Eurovision . This can’t go on.
📹 In this detailed interview, @markbirbeck discusses with @jonnygould why non-Jews must take on the fight against anti-Semitism.
Over the course of the evening they discussed October 7th, why Our Fight was founded, how Mark and Niyak Ghorbani met, arrests, acquittals, trips to Israel, why it's crucial to win support from other non-Jews, and why the #mensch campaign is so important.
We also heard from other Our Fight activists, including Kurpa Patel.

📹 Earlier this week, @markbirbeck discussed with @jonnygould why non-Jews must take on the fight against anti-Semitism. In this clip he explains one of the key motivations to establishing the campaign group Our Fight:
"I thought, this is serious because not only has something terrible happened — which happens — something terrible has happened, and we're pretending it's not terrible. The Israeli people have been attacked. A pogrom has happened. Young people have gone to Nova Festival and been slaughtered, and we're pretending that it's not that bad."
Full interview coming soon.

At @AntiRacismDay's march today we stood against racism and anti-Semitism with an Iranian refugee, a British Indian, a British South African, and the granddaughter of Russian pogrom victims.
A man holding a sign saying that refugees are welcome, spat at us.
This is the left.
