Yes, Earth will eventually become uninhabitable due to the Sun's evolution - but we're talking about hundreds of millions to billions of years from now. That's an almost incomprehensible amount of time. Humans have only existed for about 300,000 years.

Let me explain and break down for you as best i can

Mars once had rivers, lakes, a thicker atmosphere, conditions that could support life. Then it lost its magnetic field, its atmosphere stripped away and it became a barren wasteland. Earth is on a similar path climate change, ozone depletion, resource exhaustion. The only difference is the timeline.

But the most important reason is probably this, Our Sun has a lifespan, roughly 10 billion years and it’s already used half of that to exist. The Sun gets brighter every year, about 10% brighter every billion years. In roughly 1 billion years, Earth’s oceans will evaporate. In 5 billion years, the Sun expands into a red giant and swallows Earth entirely.

Mars already went through its version of this, it lost its magnetic field, its atmosphere was stripped away by solar winds and its water vanished. Earth’s fate isn’t a question of IF, It’s WHEN and that’s why we have to be a space faring civilization.

Humans might have been born on Earth but we’re not meant to die here.
