Congratulations to Doug Parker on your lengthy and successful tenure as CEO of @AmericanAir and thank you for your leadership and partnership! You have been a tireless advocate for the men and women in the U.S. airline industry. Cheers to the next chapter!
Appreciate the chance to speak with @YahooFinance about @AirlinesDotOrg's letter to the @WhiteHouse. Science and data do not support continuing the mask mandate for transportation and there is no justification based on it to discriminate against air travel.
"What's at risk is public confidence," @airlinesdotorg's @nickcalio says on the travel mask mandate. The public "can go to all of these other places without masks, and then they go to an airport or an aircraft… and they have to put the mask back on."
We are requesting this action not only for the benefit of the traveling public, but also for the thousands of airline employees charged with enforcing a patchwork of now-outdated regulations implemented in response to COVID-19. (3/3) https://t.co/IWazJ1YRle
