@thehistoryguy This part of the Passchendaele 100 commemoration events is the one that stands out the most - goosebumps hearing their voices and their words projected onto the Cloth hall. I still don’t know how I ended up next to the Royal box to watch it all.

Just off a @LNER train, Certain @Gailporter was on board, without a doubt one of the nicest celebs…she made time to speak to ever crew member, greeting them like old friends, you can see it really meant a lot to them. #heartwarming #legend wish I told her in person. #anxiety

My boss recommended watching @RealRonHoward’s #ThirteenLives because - and these are his exact words “its incredible, they had to euthanise the kids to get them out”…I didn’t correct him. It is however an incredible story and beautifully shot - highly recommended.

6 years ago today - I saw this headstone in the Pozières British Cemetery. The final resting place for 2760 Soldiers, half unidentified. The surrounding wall has a further 14,000 names for those who have no known grave. I think of this headstone everyday. #cwgc #WW1 #WeRemember
