@PuPu4_2 Safer for tourists than most countries in the world. Better facilities for players than most countries in the world. Far more expensive tickets than any other World Cup thanks to FIFA, not the country. All in all a great World Cup is in the way!
@FootyFilmzz All the cry baby Brazil fans in the comments getting mad about a player standing up from a tangle of legs but trying to defend a player leaving the ball to back up and throw an elbow really says all you need to know about a large portion of their fans. Pathetic.
Spain is experiencing Chattanooga, TN.
Argentina is in Auburn, Alabama.
Germans are eating Waffle House.
Brits are still complaining.
This World Cup has been amazing and it hasn’t even started yet.
@COsoccerpod please don’t say any more nice things about Arsenal whether they hold on to win this champions league final or not. Absolute worst team to watch play the sport. Congrats on their season but fuck their football.
Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "Where did they get it?"
Activist: "What?"
Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere."
Activist: "From... eating?"
Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it."
Activist: "The soil?"
Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from."
Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it."
Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."
Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."
Activist: "It's not that simple."
Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."
“Ireland didn’t colonize anybody; they were a colony. They suffered terribly. They were willing to be brutalized, occupied, starved, all of these things for centuries to defend their little slice of the world, and yet Ireland is on track to be a minority Irish by 2070. I don’t like that.
People think diversity means every place in the planet should look like Jackson Heights in NYC, but that’s not diversity at all. Diversity is that when I go to Ireland, it’s Irish.”
Its not perfect and there's still alot of work to do but I have no doubt this team can compete with the world's best. Get behind this team and this program. This summer is going to be a celebration of the beautiful game in the US!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I hope Iran play their World Cup games in U.S. as scheduled. I hope the team is seen as hope for better future and is welcomed/supported by massive/proud Iranian-American community, and all Americans. I hope players, and family/friends in Iran, come to no harm b/c of World Cup.
