@EricLevitz 1. Because being the most dangerous sci-fi thing from Hollywood movies is the only selling point for AI needing to raise more money than any industry ever has
2. It makes perfect sense for AI
I'm so sorry for him that he doesn't even have the freedom of speech to say "stop genocide and occupation" while being a white celebrity man
Anyway free Palestine
@sv_SR7@GergelyOrosz Except the vast majority of people want to spend their own money carefully. They will be that reckless with somebody's money but when it is their money the AI is spending, they are more careful and less willing to trust an AI agent they know can get it all wrong
@lwoodhouse@thew0wguy Then make it a constitutional amendment so whatever bullshit loophole they are thinking off is null and void. Just for AI industry. All other laws that can protect them from this law must be already be non applicable. After all, this is an existential danger they're warning about
@lwoodhouse@thew0wguy I think there is a compromise regulation everyone who truly cares about AI safety can get behind. Make it so that if AI models from these AI companies do crimes, the execs, shareholders and employees go to prison and have all their assets permanently confiscated.
@lwoodhouse@JOEBOTxyz The left do want regulation, just not the regulation the AI labs are asking for. AI labs wants regulations that still give them no liability but unlimited power while drafting the law to preventing cheaper chinese models from breaking their business models
