Yohandy Morales(WSH):
The Nationals have had a star studded history of developing talent who have gone on to be MVP/Cy Young caliber. The two obvious being Soto and Harper, before them dating back to guys such as Anthony Rendon and Steph Strasburg. Player development in Washington has been immaculate. The Nats are headed that way again, currently stacking their young talent lead by young stars James Wood and CJ Abrams both who are fresh off the all star game roster. The Nationals made out extremely well moving Soto to SD, Wood and Abrams being the focal points but you cannot forget to mention Mackenzie Gore, Robert Hassell, Jarlin Susana and Luke Voit. On paper the Nats lose a MVP bat, but did they ever get a return. Trades like the Soto move are always risky, it is common to see a prospect haul and only one maybe two guys workout. The Nats went nearly 100% with the success of their return as they developed their talent. That leads me to Yohandy Morales, another player who Washington has developed quite well. Drafted in the 2nd round of the MLB Draft, Morales struggled with power early in his professional career. He sped through the lower levels in the minors only appearing in 24 low-A games and 18 games at A+. While he did fly through those lower levels, his power was minimal. He appeared at the AA level in his rookie season which was an impressive feat, the following season he missed half of the year due to injuries with AA Harrisburg. Since then, Morales has come around and he has filled into his 6’3 225lb build. With a consistent increase in power over the last couple years, in 2026 Morales at the AAA level has exploded. In 12 less games compared to 2025, Morales has nearly doubled the amount of HRs while increasing his OPS almost +.200 to .917. He has been the heart of a strong AAA Rochester team who currently holds a 58% win percentage. Morales does struggle with swing and misses but has shown improvement handling the bat at the plate overall. He has shown a better availability to pull the ball and put the ball in the air more. There have been concerns in the past about Morales “swinging for the fences” hurting his contact rate. Morales is not the fastest on the bases and brings average defense with a well rounded arm, expectations is him moving to 1B eventually or possibly LF/RF. Morales has put together a successful 2026 campaign despite a few concerns and is a lead candidate for a MLB call-up in the 2nd half of the season. Morales is currently ranked the Nationals 28th prospect. #Nationals #MLB #YohandyMorales
The 2026 MLB Draft is today, here are my top 15 prospects ranked in order of future potential they could bring to a ball club!
Notable Mentions:
Eric Booth Jr(OF): Choppy swing at times and smaller build, I believe will level out to be a speed threat and plus defender with average-below average offensive production with homerun potential at times.
Justin Lebron(SS): Struggles with understanding the strike zone. Struggles with breaking balls. Has good bat speed and potential for power but strikeout numbers and lack of patience. If he irons out his struggles against pitches out of the zone he could be an above average hitter. Currently see him being a power threat (20+ HR a season) with an average sub .240.
Tyler Bell(SS): Great player with potential, injuries are very concerning for me.
Ryder Helfrick(C): Great defender behind the plate, checking all the boxes. Offensively struggles hitting off speed and breaking balls. I expect production at/below average, homerun potential (15+ HR a season) with a sub .240 batting average.
Trevor Condon(OF): Smaller build, 18 years old with great speed and defensive ability. Has struggled to put the ball into the air, power may be minimal but could come with time. Above average contact hitter, could be leadoff material or bottom of the line speed threat with +defense and speed.

Mike Sirota(LAD):
Mike Sirota has made his presence known at the plate since being drafted. Originally drafted by the Reds, later to be traded for 2B Gavin Lux Sirota has shown elite ability to get on base. A career .331 batting average to go along with 26 HR, 100 RBI, .471 OBP and 1.062 OPS across all levels. Sirota has made headlines with his on base streak in the minors. He has sped through levels in the minors and has not shown signs of slowing down, being an on base machine. While his bat is where most eyes go, he possesses +speed benefiting him on the base paths and defense. A solid arm makes him a well rounded defender in the outfield and potential to be a star down the road if he can continue to produce. The Dodgers do have a crowded major league roster and other notable names in competition for a roster spots in the future such as Josue De Paula (4th ranked MLB prospect), Zyhir Hope(19th ranked MLB prospect), Eduardo Quintero(31st ranked MLB prospect), James Tibbs (95th ranked MLB prospect) and Charles Davalan(86th ranked MLB prospect). All of which have their eyes set on the major league roster in the coming years. You have to believe the Dodgers being the contenders they are, a few of the names I mentioned could be used to land a star at the trade deadline. Although Sirota being one of them is unlikely as he has good chance of being a top of the lineup guy who gets on base at high rates, can hit for power on occasion and stretch the bases. #Dodgers #MLB #MikeSirota
Joshua Baez(STL):
The Cardinals may have found a future star with their 2021 2nd round pick. Being taken out of Dexter School in 2021 at the age of 18, Baez freshly turned 23 has put on a show a AAA. After coming out of his shell last year between AA/AAA hitting .287 with 20 HR and .884 OPS, Baez has topped that production in 2026. In 64% of games compared to 2025, Baez has already amassed his homeruns tot by 8 (28), 69 RBIs, .266 BA, and .944 OPS. It did take a few years for Baez to truly find his explosive power production that he possesses today. Since being drafted he has always had the potential to have an explosive bat with above average power. On top of Baez power, he can also steal bases above average. Swiping 54 bases in 2025, Baez has seen a dip in 2026 but still provides +speed on the bases and defensively. Baez does struggle with the swing and miss, missing 34% of swings and striking out 30% of the time. Putting him towards the bottom of the totem poll when it comes to strikeouts. The Cardinals appear to have found their young core coming along to pair with Wetherholt, Walker, Jordan, and Winn. The young guns in St Louis are starting to get big! #Cardinals #JoshuaBaez #MLB
As we approach the all star break, I made these list back in March prior to season highlighting player I believe had breakout potential in 2026. Also highlighting players who may bounce back and ones who may disappoint. Take a look! #MLB
Blaze Jordan(STL):
Blaze Jordan was recently promoted to the major league level. A guy who I have had eyes on for awhile, highly rated out of high school Jordan has shown no signs of slowing down. From generating so much offensive productivity at a young age, still only 23 Jordan is putting up above average numbers. Jordan is the not the highest rated prospect in the MLB nor is he truly close, but I definitely believe he is undervalued and can be a difference maker in any lineup. The Red Sox moved him last year for LHP Steven Matz which could be a questionable trade depending on who you ask. Jordan has since moved up from AA to the MLB in that span after posting career high numbers this past season at AAA Memphis. Look for Jordan to be a key contributor in the future for a younger Cardinals squad.

Seth Hernandez(PIT):
Pirates have another one on their hands, it seems to be a constant occurrence with the Pirates developing young superstars. With the recent emergence of Konnor Griffin, Paul Skenes, Bubba Chandler you can add Seth Hernandez to the list. Drafted in the 1st round of last year’s MLB draft, Hernandez has appeared in 11 games between A-A+. He has posted a 2.36 ERA over 49.2 innings with .170 opponent batting average. The talent Hernandez has at only 19 has him forecasted to be amongst the top pitchers in the league. Constantly pushing 97-98MPH with his FB, his curveball is 12-6 with 3000+ spin rate while showing promise with his other off-speed. What a rotation Pittsburgh could have in the next 2-3 season with Paul Skenes, Jared Jones, Bubba Chandler and Seth Hernandez. #Pirates #SethHernandez #MLB
Cayden Wallace(WSH):
Cayden Wallace has emerged as the lead producer in a young Senators lineup. After going in the 2nd round in 2022, Wallace has gotten off to a slower start in his minor league career. Drafted by the Royals, the Nats acquired him in 2024 for RHP Hunter Harvey who at the time has solid potential but injuries held back his career. Fast forward to 2026, Wallace is putting up career numbers at the AA level across all categories. Power has nearly doubled and the average is up .50+. The strikeout numbers are down nearly 10% from last season. The defensive versatility is a major factor to his overall as he nears 25 looking to find space on an MLB roster, it could be the difference maker in making a MLB club. I expect to see Wallace promoted very soon with the potential of having his contract selected straight from AA. Although a AAA call-up is more realistic. #CaydenWallace #Nationals #MLB
How good has Jacob Misiorowski and Cam Schlittler been in 2026?
Pedro Martinez in 2000 posted the best season for a starting pitcher in MLB history. Nearly half way to the amount of starts Martienz made in 2000, Misiorowski and Schlittler both are making a run for having the greatest season ever for a MLB Pitcher. Both have been lights out every time they take the mound. Misiorowski has the notable edge over Schlittler, but these two young stars have a lot of gas in the tank. Both righties constantly touching 100 MPH with their fastball, add attempting to hit 90 MPH breaking pitches.
Schlitter has posted Ace-like numbers, although allowed hard contact more than the MLB average. The MLB average currently stands at 37.1%, Schlittler sits a 39.6% contributing to a 2.78 xERA. 27.9% whiff rate with an average exit velocity of 87.9MPH raises my eyes if the hard contact allowed will catchup to him.
For Misiorowski, he finds himself in a better position. Posting 34.4% hard hit percentage despite throwing harder than Schlittler. 38% whiff rate and average exit velocity of 87.1MPH leading to a 2.03 xERA. What both of these guys bring to the table is rare and both have the potential to post the greatest season ever for any MLB starting pitcher. Misiorowski has the advantage nearly half way through the season, but we still have another half to play! #Brewers #MLB #RedSox #Yankees #JacobMisiorowski #CamSchlittler
The Orioles are not far removed from having the best farm system in baseball. As multiple of their once upon a time top prospects graduate to the majors, the wins have not correlated. The O’s signed one of the best hitters in the game, Pete Alonso this past winter. Other than that signing, Baltimore has relied heavily on their young talent. Pitching has always been a struggle and the O’s have not had a true ace for years, a guy who can go out almost every game and give quality baseball and stick around more than 1 season. The O’s were in the runnings for Ranger Suarez, Framber Valdez and other big names during the off season but ultimately did not land one. Despite trying to retain Corbin Burnes last season, he was an option to be that guy although he took less money togo home to Arizona. The O’s have developed some young arms who have the ability to rely on but can they be trusted down the stretch? That is where they are beat. When the O’s won the AL East a few years back they were swept in the divisional round of the playoffs, the team was extremely young and their pitching staff was not bad, but there was minimal post season experience in the clubhouse. Fast forward to 2026, Grayson Rodriguez plagued by injuries was traded for Taylor Ward. The O’s got off the hook with that deal and made out well. Kyle Bradish is their best starter as he was also one of the best in 2023, although underwent TJ surgery. Trevor Rodgers was traded to Baltimore for Stowers , he was torched every game when he first arrived before finding his groove. Posting the best ERA in baseball over a couple month span. Rodgers has appeared to stall this year. Brandon Young has been making his way this season after a tougher 2025, he could be a middle of the rotation guy. Shane Baz was acquired and extended this year but it appears the same issues he had in Tampa have not be ironed out, potential is still there but lacks consistency. After those guys, the pitching still lacks. Where the O’s have always thrived is offensive production; dating back to the Machado, Jones, Davis, Trumbo days. That is where a lot of their former top prospects arise. Top to bottom the O’s lineup is filled with young talent, while this may not be the year they set the league on fire. These 3 guys: Samuel Basallo, Jackson Holliday and Coby Mayo I have high confidence in be the leaders in taking this team to the next level. None of them have put up numbers to send them to the star game and catch many eyes, but looking ahead these 3 guys I believe are all future stars and will be the heart of this O’s team. Pete Alonso brings the veteran explosive bat they need, the talent is there but the O’s are missing few more pieces to be the true threat they can be in the league. #Orioles #MLB #JacksonHolliday #CobyMayo #SamuelBasallo
Jac Caglianone(KC):
Jac Caglianone is going to be a star. Behind Caminero, Cag was a player I believed was going to catch tons of attention. After a slow 2025 in the handful of games he played, 2026 looked to be the first year we get a full glimpse of Cag. He did get off to a mediocre start this year but recently the Royals have dealt with a few injuries and since he has stepped up. Caglianone sped through the minors appearing in less than 100 games before making his MLB debut. Drafted in the 1st round in 2024, Caglianone I believe will be the next young superstar a team can build around. While he may not hit .300+ every season he is going to be one of the most feared bats in the league. Potential for consistent 35+ HR seasons while still hitting .260+. Cag possesses a .250 ISO which is well above the rest although his numbers have not caught everyone’s eyes yet. The build is ideal at 6’4 - 250lbs, currently ranking in MLB: xwOBA(10th), Barrels(17th), EV(3rd), hard hit%(1st), bat speed(8th), xBA(6th), xSLG(11th), BABIP(16th), swing length(17th). #Royals #MLB #JacCaglianone
Maxwell Romero Jr(WSH):
Maxwell Romero Jr like multiple fellow teammates have found their stride in 2026. Following hot starts from INF Seaver King and LHP Jackson Kent who received AAA promotions, Romero may be next in line. After 231 games in 3 seasons across A/AA Romero Jr combined for 23 HRs. In 35 games in 2026 Romero has almost half of that (10 HR) in 85% less games. Romero Je remains unranked in the Nationals top 30 prospects but at the age of 25 there is still room for him to make an impact at the major league level. With a crowed catcher room in Washington it may be difficult for Romero Jr to thrive in DC, the best case scenario for both sides may be leverage him in trade talks at some point in time. With Caleb Lomavita (27th ranked WSH prospect), Harry Ford (7th ranked WSH prospect) and Keibert Ruiz (27 y/o, former top prospect) currently holding down the catcher position, the outlook for Romero Jr in DC is hazy but the potential is there. #Nationals #MaxwellRomeroJr #MLBProspects #MLB
Junior Caminero(TB):
One of my favorite players to watch! Caminero brings one of the best bats to the plate at such a young age, the sky is the limit for this young superstar. #Rays#JuniorCaminero#MLB
Ralphy Velazquez(CLE):
I was able to watch Ralphy Velazquez in person recently. At 20 years old, he has a mature approach at the plate. A true intimidating hitter for opposing pitchers. He was promoted to AAA yesterday, I expect to see him in the majors next season. #MLB
Seaver King(WSH):
After being able to watch Seaver King the first quarter of the season he appears to be a revitalized player compared to last. Relaxed, confident and smooth approach at the plate with true potential to be a 5 tool player. #MLB#Nationals#SeaverKing
LHP Jackson Kent(WSH):
After watching Jackson Kent pitch for Harrisburg, I was impressed with what he brings. Speeding through the minors, 18 games at A+, 13 games at AA & now recently promoted to AAA. Kent has potential to be a 1-2 guy in the rotation. #MLB#Nationals
Jonah Cox(SFG):
Cox has been on my watchlist for a while, with his recent promotion this report skips the line. From unranked prospect to AA -> MLB call-up. Acquired from the A’s(2024) for 34 y/o Ross Stripling, the A’s may have lost a young star bat for a minimal return. #MLB
Munetaka Murakami - Chicago White Sox.
Murakami in his first MLB season currently ranks near the top of league in homeruns. His power is legit and has real MVP caliber upside. #MunetakaMurakami#WhiteSox#MLB
James Tibbs lll - Los Angeles Dodgers
James Tibbs Ill has gotten off to a hot start in AAA. After being trading 2 times in as many seasons, a career year start has generated conversation regarding Tibbs joining the already loaded Dodgers roster. #Dodgers#MLB#JamesTibbs
