TROPICAL UPDATE: We have our first official area of interest from the National Hurricane Center for the Atlantic Hurricane Season. There is a 10% chance of tropical development over the next 7 days. Regardless of development, tropical moisture is expected to impact E. Mexico.
NEW: Another M 4.3 earthquake strikes off the coast of Cuba. This is an aftershock to the strong M 6.1 earthquake which struck the same area yesterday. @CBSMiami

Per @CBSMiami, the earthquake temporarily disrupted transit service (Metromover and Metrorail) after the Stephen P. Clark Center was evacuated due to reports of building shaking. Both services have since resumed.

Rain drops may contain whatever particles are in the smoke and bring them to the surface, potentially staining patios and leaving residue, etc.

2026 HURRICANE SEASON FORECAST: NOAA has officially announced their prediction for the upcoming Atlantic Hurricane Season. Odds lean toward a below-average season (El Nino playing a large role). 8-14 named storms, 3-6 becoming hurricanes (1-3 becoming major). @CBSMiami
