We’re about to the finish line. Going to put out some fresh cornstalk bedding, keep them clean to sell in 3 weeks. Only lost 2 calves between both pens. They’ve turned out to be a really nice set of feeder heifers.

@drich82 @FarmandOil You forgot about hiring your grain hauling, fertilizer spreading, and anhydrous application. And also there’s plenty of us that have livestock, but hire out the labor.

Just need these ladies to grow frame and keep condition for another 35 days. Works all done. Will make somebody some really nice heifers to finish. Health has been fantastic. No Implants, on 48Mcal ration. Weaned forever, 2 rounds of shots, wormed, poured.

We had 1.85” of rain 1st-2nd of April. Since then the largest rainfall I’ve had is .17” A couple 3 to 7 hundreths a few times. Can’t remember an April and first half of May this dry. This is usually our wet time of year.
