@HMRCcustomers I’m currently completing a self assessment to pay the high income child benefit charge, however the charge is coming out substantially higher than the total amount of benefit received. Surely that can’t be right? What’s the best way to get help with this?

@HMRCcustomers I’ve been back through the whole thing this morning. I’ve taken the pay and tax figures straight from my P60, plus figures for any benefits I get through my employer. The charge is still coming out much higher than the amount of benefit I received. How do I fix this?
