We are facing having to close our youth group (one of the only youth groups in our community) due to rising costs and funding shortage. Please consider supporting our crowdfunder for Youth Cafe at St Mark's Downham: https://t.co/7l50g4Eb0i
Our youth group at St Mark's is running a crowdfunder to ensure we can stay open. This is really important project cannot run without funding, which is getting harder to find, whilst costs rise.
Please consider donating to support this valuable project

@ChrisJhojacob can you have a look at our new website and make sure it is up to scratch? I think it is, but we've looked at it so many times during development! Stlukesdownham https://t.co/BiOReYpJE5
@phillipsc I'm finding the polemics coming from WATCH and other supposedly theological liberals deeply troubling. It bodes very poorly for the future of the CofE and for those of us who value other traditions and churchmanships even when we disagree...
@bushontheradio On Easter Monday Jesus is providing cover for all the vicars who are exhausted after the busy weekend!
Seriously though, he spent 40 days after resurrection meeting up with mates and explaining what happened and giving them their jobs...
. @absoluteradio and @benburrell - the vicar washing the teacher's feet story is almost certainly true. It's part our the Maundy Thursday church service (tomorrow). Lots of vicars do it as a reminder of Jesus washing his disciple's feet
@krishk There's a very interesting comment from Tim Keller in the Rise and Fall of Mars Hill podcast, where he actually touches on the problems with Church Planting (at least as many big networks and denominations practice it) and how he would do it differently if he started over...
Would you like to work as part of a supportive team for the benefit of the local community in Downham? We are recruiting for:
1. Community and Advice Manager; £24,000p/a (30 hours p/w)
2. Kitchen Coordinator; London Living Wage 20 hours p/w: https://t.co/3JGaRt8pNN…
@Ministry_Tim It's a bit late, but if you do one in the future - direct them to look at the work done by Clergy Family Network @CfnClergyFam . They undertook the largest survey of clergy partners ever done and have produced a very insightful report. They are also developing resources to help
@tifferrobinson @revmarkhew My difficulty was that I had a really difficult time and was made to feel very small and worthless by one of the people he names as a good leader. So it rang a bit hollow, although I acknowledge Pete wouldn't have experienced that because he is a VIP.
Some good news to share! The Front Room at St Luke’s Downham (my church), is receiving £310,005 from @TNLComFund – the largest funder of community activity in the UK – to continue supporting local people.
