Very proud of my whole team esp @indranilsays for brilliantly presenting the 1y AE data of the largest RCT in HR and N+ CaP.
SBRT is safe! Gr 3 AE very low.
More to follow....
Great presentation by @DrSACooper@ESTRO_RT showing low adverse events in both 5 and 2 fraction MRI-guided adaptive radiotherapy (HERMES trial), with minimal impact on quality of life in both arms.

Fantastic presentation by @DrAPathmanathan on PACE-NODES short term adverse events - more short lived GI events which settled quickly, no difference in GU events. Thanks to @ProstateUK for funding

Shared decision making requires a balanced discussion. RT techniques continue to reduce toxicity (more to do), data from TrueNTH, ProtecT/ PACE AΒ highlight persistent incontinence and impotence after RP even with robotic techniques. Pts deserve honest evidence-based information.
Interesting read! All radical treatments for pca have toxicities. The key issue for pts is not simply if toxicity occurs, but which toxicities persist and how they affect long-term QOL. Transient GU symptoms are not equivalent to permanent incontinence or impotence
PACE-B and HYPO-RT-PC reported cumulative incidence AND point prevalence toxicity. Both matter. Cumulative incidence captures any event over time, while point prevalence reflects ongoing morbidity. Pt information should include duration, severity and reversibility of symptoms.
How have the PACE trials influenced radiotherapy treatment for #ProstateCancer to date?
Profs Emma Hall & @nickva1 at the ICR discuss learnings from a decade of trials, including @ProstateUK-funded PACE-NODES, in @IJROBP.

1166 patients with high risk prostate cancer randomised to prostate +/- pelvic nodes, 5 fraction radiotherapy. Early results hopefully presented later this year. Protocol and radiotherapy document online. @nickva1@EmmaHall71@DrAPathmanathan@alison_tree
When Superstar π visitors like @nickva1 come to @RadOncTMC they have a fan base waiting for autograph on @NEJM paper on PACE-B as a souvenir.
Such a joy to have you here. Thanks for visiting @TataMemorial.

Honoured to present an overview on post-op #SBRT for #PCa at #UKSABR25.
I truly loved the atmosphere β warm, inclusive, and incredibly supportive.
Grateful for the insightful discussions and for the wonderful people pushing SABR forward.
Until next time! πβ¨

Great talk by @DrSACooper at #UKSABR2025 about the DESTINATION 1 trial of GTV dose escalation and whole gland de-escalation in localised prostate cancer. Clinical and dose papers out soon!
