@FSDEurope Ah okay, makes sense lol.
Well... now you now that an improper installation results in the part being destroyed.
Seven to eight months until it fails is wild.
My bets are on an improper install.
You might wanna go to another shop.
@aikisteve I think the important part is the fourth slide: they are explaining why end-to-end AI is different.
In my opinion, this is needed because a lot of regulators are still stuck in the old "if this then that" mindset.
End-to-end AI is proven through data and results, not constraints.
@mikegapinski I guess for coding it you need a toolbox subscription?
If it works this is very interesting.
My phone keeps overheating when charging on long trips.
@BodyProtocol Yeah, the European regulations are very late...
They are still written and worded for the old "if this then that" deterministic behavior, which feels robotic and clunky.
At least the RDW is doing a fantastic job by explaining why end-to-end AI is different and how it works.
@MRpoproppo Exactly.
Sadly the slideshow don't contain a lot of stuff.
I guess they said much more stuff, and the slideshows were there only to support the dialogue.
@FinTesla Yep, sadly the slideshow itself is very light.
To me it feels like the spokesman had his own separate (private) script.
We will have more informations at the next MVWG-ACV meeting, at which the summary of today's meeting will be approved and published.
Hey @seyesdotcom
As you already know, a lot of the people working on the UNECE regulations (DCAS Phase 3) already work in the EU.
A new document has been published about DCAS Phase 3, available below.
Seems like they are quite far.

Today at the 53rd MVWG-ACV EU meeting on 1st of June:
The Netherlands is presenting something on DCAS (driver assistance systems).
We don't know if this is linked to Tesla FSD or not, but it seems likely.
Many associations will attend, including the ETSC.

@tesla_jokes Yep, France does not want to make a decision right now...
Because they are waiting for the EU vote during which France will have to make a decision anyway.
They're delaying the inevitable for no reason.
Clown country π€‘
Anyway, feel free to archive the mail on your website. π
@aikisteve@liorsela They rarely care about the answers, usually it is just engagement farm.
Asking this kind of question generates more answers than usual, which pump up their stats.
@AnFloorwalker@lolkeks5@leRaffl Yes of course.
I don't have the habit of inventing shit haha,
But you're right to question sources, it's a sane behavior especially on twitter.
The ACEA statement is available in the 52nd meeting of the EU MVWG-ACV committee here.

@lolkeks5@leRaffl I used to think the vote would not happen on June 30... but now:
- The ACEA (lobbying association of EU carmakers) are expressing, quote, "full support" of Tesla's Article 39 procedure.
- Brussels and the EU commission hates having a fragmented Europe.
I think it will happen.
