This is the silent part that people wouldn't know.
Behind closed doors inside a medical conference, a large group of clinicians and researchers giving a standing ovation to another group of clinicians and researchers who found a way to increase survival in patients suffering from one of the, if not the, worst cancer in humans.
Metastatic pancreatic cancer.
They'll do this and then be on their way to see their patients the next day as if nothing happened.
And then work on something new to better what they did in this room.
That is how medical science works.
Value it and value its practitioners.

This is what the sky from Earth might look like if TON 618, the second largest known black hole in the universe, were as close as Alpha Centauri, the closest stellar system to our Solar System.
That's 25 trillion miles away from us.
Now that Artemis II has launched we have 10 days to get everyone on Earth a Planet of the Apes costume so we can do something hilarious when the astronauts return 😁

50 year battery goes to market.
Mass production has begun on the BV10 50 year 3 volt nuclear battery using “China's fourth-generation diamond semiconductor technology”.
The BV100 has a radioactive decay of its nickel-63 core. The two-micron thick core, sandwiched between two 10-micron thick diamond semiconductors, efficiently converts the isotope's decay into electricity. Its modular structure allows for scalability, with multiple units combined in series or parallel to create batteries of varying sizes and capacities.

🚨 PARALYZED MAN STANDS AGAIN AFTER STEM CELL BREAKTHROUGH IN JAPAN
Japanese scientists have achieved what was once thought impossible: a paralyzed man can now stand and is relearning to walk after receiving an injection of lab-grown stem cells.
The team at Keio University transplanted neural precursor cells into the spinal cords of four men.
Two regained significant function—one now stands unaided, another moves arms and legs.
Professor Hideyuki Okano:
"This is a dramatic recovery."

Cancer breakthrough
New cancer therapy ‘disguises’ tumors as pork to trigger immune attack, 90% effective - Chinese researchers turned the immune response to organ transplant rejection to cure cancer with a 90% success rate.
"Called a 'tumor-to-pork' strategy, a new study published in Cell earlier this year demonstrated immense success in engineering a virus that tricked the human body into believing that cancer cells were pig tissue, thereby triggering a hyperacute inflammatory response. The virus began attacking the tumor with a staggering 90% success rate, to the point of curing a patient with advanced cervical cancer."
SCIENTISTS FIND NATURAL COMPOUND THAT STOPS CANCER GROWTH
Years of research—and a whole lot of ground-up flowers—just led to a breakthrough.
Scientists have discovered sulfuretin, a plant compound that blocks an enzyme linked to cancer and multiple sclerosis.
This enzyme fuels cancer growth and prevents myelin repair in neurodegenerative diseases.
Now, researchers say they’ve found a way to shut it down.
Next up: animal testing.
If sulfuretin delivers, it could change how we treat cancer, MS, and even Alzheimer’s.
