We kicked off the morning with Hub Cycling’s rush hour challenge and a friendly challenge amongst city councillors!

And I took public transit 🚍

And the winner was public transit by a small margin, followed by bike and then car!

Active transportation and public transit are critical to our growing city!

Lots of moving parts in housing right now. Glad to see my local city government and the province taking it seriously and putting more funding in place along with modernizing the rules.

It'll be interesting to reflect back on results in the future - lots to do still.

@BlackwellMerlin I'm with @suestroud on this one - I love my local Chamber, but they advocate on the behalf of local business to the city for many reasons - If the city was also a member, that could get complicated.
We do have a strong working relationship, though!

To clarify, dignified life (to me) means having access to the basic needs of life in a way that is appropriate for the human.

❌️Not for luxury. Not for convenience.

🌱For a dignified experience that accommodates sufficiently for one's limitations without judgement.

It seems to me that the arguments against instituting a living wage have been around since the industrial revolution.
When will we evolve to embrace the concept that all humans should have access to a dignified life in 2023?

Kamloops to the Alberta border along Hwy 1 is an interesting new take I didn't realize they were considering! Might make for some interesting new relationships among progressive leaders and volunteers in the region.

@HypnoticSage @ty_olsen I drove out that "hwy" in the early hours of a blizzard a while back; first tracks in 2 inches of snow, nervously trying to stay in the middle of the road creeping around those corners, wishing I'd left earlier. I was very grateful for studded tires that day!

@Khelsilem There are so many great systems out there, the big question is what will your team use.
I would suggest a full team brainstorming session, agree on a productivity system everyone can get behind. Decide information standards and review cycles, then stick to them.
