@Abrushwithhumor @jocelynjanecox@TupeloQ Thank you! I deleted twitter (and then reinstalled just now lol) so I’m just seeing this. Thanks for reading!!!
@NYCHealthSystem hello! Are all COVID testing van employees on break from 2-3pm? If so, can you update the website hours to indicate that? We were turned away from two, included one who said that they don’t test kids under 6 (my kid is 5.5), which I don’t think is true.
Underwater New York is a platform for creative work that invites its audience to envision New York City in a new way: through its sixth borough—its waters. Join us for this poetry reading on Wed June 15 at 7PM. https://t.co/Y20EyCYg44

@juliej_won@NYCParks@nyc311 Thanks. I think basic maintenance, functioning of current equipment, and information would be most important at this point since we’ve dealt with so much park closure for really inadequate renovations in the past two years.
Hello @NYCParks and @nyc311 and @juliej_won why are NO sprinklers on at ANY playgrounds in Sunnyside or Woodside Queens? Parents across our two neighborhood are texting each other trying to find SOMEWHERE within walking distance to take our kids on this 90+ degree day
@juliej_won@NYCParks@nyc311 I also have sent several emails over the past month in to your office about the state of Lawrence Virgilio playground (including that all the trees were cut down?) and in particular the sprinkler issue.
@juliej_won@NYCParks@nyc311 I’ve done it SO many times and haven’t gotten a response. If this will be the case all summer, we all need to know. Friends say playgrounds in Carrol Gardens, Ft Greene, and Chelsea have their sprinklers on. I guess I will fill out more reports now for four SunnyWood playgrounds.
@nyc311@NYCParks@juliej_won What people have been suggesting, and many have been doing, is joining Sunnyside Gardens Park, which is a private park and is not an accessible, affordable, or equitable solution. That should not be the only park safe to play at in the heat.
@nyc311@NYCParks@juliej_won Right—but they haven’t been and aren’t at Hart, Windmuller, Noonan, or Loudati. Am I supposed to fill out constant reports for every playground in the area? What we want to know is why this is happening and when it will be fixed.
disconnect btwn what @NYCParks & @nyc311 think rules are for turning on playground sprinklers. Parks says after Memorial Day & over 80, 311 says ANY day over 80. So much confusion & overheated kids. Every neighborhood parent group filled w/ parents looking for working sprinklers!
Good morning @NYCParks ! Still trying to figure out if families will be able to beat the heat this weekend outdoors at our city parks. Will water features be turned on?
Wondering if sprinklers and splash pads will be on in NYC this Saturday when it is 90degrees? If only some will be, is there a way to know which ones? @NYCParks
