What a season our girls had, it ended a little earlier than we were hoping but it was a battle until the end.

Couldn’t have asked for a better group! It was always enjoyable watching how well they play together, play for each other and how much fun they have on and off the field together- truly all we could ask for!

To our seniors, Aubrey, Meredith and Zoie, we appreciate all of the time you dedicated to Lakeland softball for four years. We can’t wait to follow along on all of the great things yet to come!

To our returning players, we already can’t wait for next year! See you soon for offseason workouts!

Battled hard on Friday but ended up coming up short losing two to Walled Lake Northern.

@EmilySearle21 started off the first inning with a solo shot over right field to give us a 1-0 lead. @zoie_gagnon followed suit in the top of the 4th with a solo shot over right field making it 2-0. The game became tied up in the bottom of the 5th and after a tough battle ultimately was ended on a walk off in the bottom of the 7th by WLN. @LilyEller2 hit a triple, and @HuffPiper2027 and @hpawlak2029 each collected a hit. @MelinaWing2027 did a phenomenal job in the circle battling hard until the very last pitch!

In game two @ab_schlot2029 had two hits and a stolen base, @LexiZ46731 hit a double and @hpawlak2029 collected a hit, drew a walk and stole a base. Meredith Peterson and Elle Sorvari split time in the circle.

Most importantly - Happy Mother’s Day! A day that highlights the incredible mothers/grandmothers/aunts/sisters these girls have supporting them. Thank you to our team moms for being such great role models for these girls, instilling kindness, compassion and the ability to take the high road and block out noise. It doesn’t go unnoticed, we truly do have a special group!

Proud of these girls for staying composed and always supporting each other. Onward and upward! Go Eagles! 🥎🦅💙

Great 12-1 win yesterday against Clarkston, both our offense and defense were locked in!

Freshman @LexiZ46731 hit her first high school home run which included three RBI! @EmilySearle21 and @zoie_gagnon also had shots over the fence! Searle hit in four and Gagnon hit in two and scored two. @AGoldman2027 hit a double, drew two walks, had three RBI and scored two. @ab_schlot2029 went 2-4 scoring two runs. @aubreysoftball9 and @LilyEller2 each collected a hit.

@MelinaWing2027 threw five innings to complete the game and earned the win in the circle. Wing only allowed one earned run, struck out six and didn’t give up a walk.

Tomorrow the Eagles head down Bogie Lake Rd. for two league games against Walled Lake Northern. Go Eagles!! 🦅🥎💙

Always a good feeling getting the sweep against our crosstown rival, ended the first game 11-1 after six innings and closed out the second game 5-1.

Our defense was dialed in with no errors behind the great pitching from @MelinaWing2027, who completed game one with nine strikeouts and no walks and Meredith Peterson, who completed the second game with five strikeouts and no walks.

@AGoldman2027 led the offense with four hits, including a home run and four RBI. @hpawlak2029 had three hits including a home run and two RBI with scoring three herself. @zoie_gagnon, @EmilySearle21, @LexiZ46731 and @LilyEller2 each had three hits on the day. @HuffPiper2027 had two hits and drove in three. @ab_schlot2029 had two hits and scored two runs. @aubreysoftball9 and Emma Hewitt each collected a hit.

The Eagles are back at home tomorrow for a single game against Clarkston starting at 4:30! Go Eagles! 🦅🥎💙
