BS Pharmacy
- Complex curriculum (Info. overload, non-targeted learning, shortened period of study)
- Tuition fee is sky high
- Included in the Top 10 most difficult board exams (Passing the boards is quite difficult. Passing rate is always rock bottom)
- Some students who graduated BS Pharmacy just use the program as a stepping stone into becoming a professional doctor
Practice of Pharmacy
- Underpaid (most pharmacists are minimum wage earners… salary can’t even support a decent standard of living)
- Undervalued profession (most people in the country view pharmacists a “mere sellers of drugs in the Botikas”)
- License renewal too troublesome (Need for mandatory membership in an APO - both local and national, need to undergo rigorous trainings and seminars just to get enough CPD units)
