@CTVNews Disgusting! Try again.
Better story: why don’t you show the millions of people killed by the Iranian regime?
More relevant…what about just focusing on the >30,000 Iranians killed in the past two months.
We don’t need more wake-up calls.
It’s time to wake up.
Following today’s Toronto Police announcement, and in the wake of the deadly Sydney terror attack, our CEO @nshack underscored the urgent need for governments at all levels to act now to protect Canadians -- before it’s too late.
This is a fight for Canada. Join our movement of community advocates here:

NEW FROM ME: With neigbourhood intimidation rallies, anti-Israel protestors busting down doors to invade events and synagogues regularly vandalized, @AvivaKlompas tells me Toronto's anti-Jewish hate is reaching a breaking point

Today in Toronto, extremists once again took to the streets. This time escalating their protests by targeting elected officials. Their goal was clear: to intimidate those who stand with our community. Emboldened, they then brought their hate into nearby Jewish neighbourhoods - harassing families and taunting community members. Make no mistake: these extremists don’t just threaten individuals; they endanger Canada’s inclusive and democratic society. We will always call out hateful rhetoric and threatening behaviour. Both grateful and honoured to have been invited by @TheEFC to address Christian leaders on the issue of antisemitism, together with my friend @RabbiScher. Christians & Jews working hand in hand is one of the best ways to ensure Canada returns to what it should be: welcoming to all.
"La libération des otages israéliens est un moment « très émotif » pour la communauté juive, a raconté Julien Corona, directeur des relations publiques pour le Centre consultatif des relations juives et israéliennes (CIJA)."

CIJA CEO Noah Shack (@NShack) statement on the return of Israeli hostages from Gaza:
The hostages endured unimaginable suffering in the tunnels of Gaza: starved, tortured, and held in darkness for over two years. Today, we share in their families’ relief and gratitude as those who survived this nightmare are finally home. For the families that have or will receive the remains of murdered hostages, we share in their mourning and the painful solace of knowing their loved ones will soon be in their final resting place in Israel.
We urge our government to continue supporting the U.S.-led peace initiative, recognizing that this is only the first phase of a broader initiative. The Government of Canada must take a principled stand for peace, which begins with the complete disarming and removal of Hamas and all terror groups who threaten Israelis and Palestinians.
While for Canada's Jewish community this is a moment of hope, we continue to be alarmed by extremists who oppose peace and celebrate terrorism in our streets. Just as our government should continue to stand for peace in the Middle East, it must take decisive steps to counter the violent extremism targeting the Jewish community, threatening our democracy, and endangering all Canadians.
@kinsellawarren Even though I generally do not use the phone or the internet on Yom Kippur, I kept checking Canadian news to make sure nothing happened here. I was very worried about my family in Montreal.

Indigo and Chapters are being targeted again this weekend. Harassment & intimidation are not Canadian values. Don't engage the protestors. Visit your local store to stand against hate and support Canadian values of respect and tolerance.
Ahead of International Hummus Day, May 13, CIJA's VP @GZinterpoc is on scene to highlight how a special food helps bring Israelis and Canadians closer together.
Thank you Minister @DarylHarrison20@SKGov for recognizing the critical role that Saskatchewan, Israel's #1 supplier of chickpeas, plays in connecting both the people and economies of our two countries.
Tune in tomorrow for more on #InternationalHummusDay 🇨🇦🇮🇱

In today's episode of @TheCJN's The Daily podcast, @ebessner speaks with co-chair Nanette Rosen and CIJA VP @richardmarceau about the critical work of CIJA’s Legal Task Force, which has helped over 550 Canadian victims of antisemitism since Oct. 7.

Canada is facing a crisis of extremism that threatens public safety. Glorifying terrorism must be made illegal in Canada. Dangerous displays like the ones CIJA VP @michystock outlines in this letter to Mayor @carolynhparrish normalize hateful ideologies, fuel radicalization, and incite violence against communities, including Canadian Jews. Week after week, Jewish communities are targeted by protests and violent acts against schools and synagogues. This has to stop—we need our leaders to take action. The Mayor must use every tool available to ensure this event does not proceed on city property.
