you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.
I have realized that most men who do not love women as they are, chaotic creators, are already dead inside. It's simply impossible to not adore women, they are artists that bring joy in this world. Beautiful creatures. Us men are brutes.
“loving someone slowly turns into fearing the day they’ll leave. i didn’t just lose the person i loved, i lose the version of myself who believed love was supposed to feel safe, the version that wasn’t constantly afraid of being left behind.”
Confidence is the quiet spell. Overconfidence is the roar that bends reality. Be so certain the gods walk with you that the world cannot help but agree.
the older i get the more i realize freud was lowkey right about everything
but the one thing he got wrong was this idea that you need to identify the "root cause" of your trauma in order to overcome it.
there's this western psychoanalytic belief (silent infohazard) that somehow understanding exactly WHY you're broken and building up this mental model/logical history of the childhood events that happened to you will somehow fix you. mental masturbation on steroids.
this seems to create a sort of nerdsniping phenomenon where already-heady people dig themselves a deeper hole by trying to intellectualize their way out of lifelong depression, anxiety, etc..., when in reality all you have to do is FEEL the shit you don't want to feel.
it's like reading volumes of books about how to ride a bike, talking to Claude for hours about bike theory and the mechanisms of physics that allow you to ride a bike, learning about the history of biking, only to time and again face the fact that you still have never gotten on the bike. and you will never learn how to ride one until you decide to put your ass on the seat and fall a couple dozen times. or like find a good bike teacher
MAKE THIS LIFE COUNT
Nothing is that serious. Go on an adventure. Transform your struggles. Everything is achievable. Accept the challenge. Dreams come true. Enjoy nature. Live without regrets. Find peace everywhere. Express love to every living being. Help those in need. Fulfill your purpose. Victory is within your reach.
You don’t need to wait for another life to live the way you’ve always wanted.
You’re here for a reason. Nothing is random.
The problem is that you’re avoiding the things you’re meant to solve and experience, because you came here with a quest to complete.
Stop ignoring it. You know what your tasks are.
Wrote about this two weeks ago:
"Your impulses seduce you into submission. They never force you.
Before you act, your mind has already enjoyed doing the bad habit.
and what's rewarded, your mind repeats..."
Notice how they never tell you how to use this to your advantage.
Think about it like this:
Imagine you replace that mental movie with an image of the future; vivid, irresistible, where the thing no longer exists... how much power does bad the habit still have?
Once you have, I invite you to practice the full technique that you can access here: https://t.co/lMtwPUOnde
Not sure who needs to hear this but the Magnesium Glycinate, L-Theanine, Inositol supplement trio paired with daily sunrise/early AM light exposure rid me of generalized anxiety I’d dealt with for years within a few weeks. Wild what happens when you give your body what it needs.
