According to media reports, the Pakistani government has expressed its wish that the Afghan people might be emancipated and governed by a truly representative government. So kind of them to care! Though, one can not help but notice a few little inconsistencies. Across the decades, Islamabad has consistently supported anyone who was causing trouble and instability in #Afghanistan. In Pakistan itself, it is the military establishment that is running the country, having jailed its most popular leader, @ImranKhanPTI, and conducted sham elections. Rather than giving unsolicited advice to other countries on how they should conduct their political affairs, #Pakistan’s leaders should focus on the mess they have made of their country, and figure out how to end the 2 huge insurgencies they face: in Baluchistan and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

And keeping a man in solitary confinement in jail, a man who worked all his life to bring good name to Pakistan & who loved the people of Pakistan exposes the character of Pakistani state institutions, judiciary, bar associations, media, civil society and political parties!
Our reality lies not in our words - but in our actions! We all joined hands with Gen. Zia the butcher, to murder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, we blamed him for 1971 tragedy because we were not ready to accept that we mistreated Bengalis from day one, exploited their resources, looked down upon them and controlled their lives the way we are now doing for Baluchis, and tribals in erstwhile FATA. We believe in an imaginary Pakistan that consists of few buildings in Islamabad, Pindi Cantt, Lahore Mall Road and Karachi - imagination without a soul!
