To the Western individual, stripped of spirituality and communal life, reduced to a mere cog in the machine of production and consumption, I ask: What do these images mean to you?
When one says they support the two-state solution, what is meant is that they support the creation of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state--as the state of Israel is already there. India's position towards the Palestine question has evolved over the years. But at its core, India has always maintained that it supports the creation of an independent Palestine. Unless the Palestine question is addressed, you are not going to get peace and stability in West Asia. And India's core interests in the region are rooted in stability. Israel, on the other side, wants to continue the occupation and its militarism. netanyahu said even last week that there wouldn't be two states between the 'Sea and Jordan'.
India has taken the right position. But are its policies towards the region in sync with with this position?
Maybe they don’t know. Maybe they don’t have the words to explain it. Maybe it’s about English. Maybe they don’t understand these people, but something is certainly WRONG when they say Iranians came to the funeral to show respect to martyr Seyed Ali.
What is showing respect? This combination feels so off. Showing?
Many came because they wanted to see him for the first and last time in their lives. They came because they miss his face, his hands, his voice, his smile, his fatherhood so badly. They came because they didn’t want to believe, they couldn’t believe that he is martyred so they came to force themselves to believe this horrifying truth. For four months, they’ve been holding their breaths. They came because the war was part of our grief and we didn’t want to mourn while were fighting the Satan. They came because they want revenge. They came because what else can you do when you let the enemy take your father, your mother, your pride, your dignity your everything your everybody? What else can you do?
Iranians don’t just respect Seyed Ali, they love him wholeheartedly. They wanted to die for him, and they couldn’t. He didn’t allow it. He left us first. He didn’t give us a chance to die for him. For their entire lives people were praying to sacrifice their lives for him and they couldn’t. Do English speakers even understand this level of frustration and devotion?
They came because Seyed Ali decided to leave Tehran. We allowed this to happen to our Imam, shame on us..
@timesofindia First learn shism before publishing any news! You'll never understand shiites faith on their imam e zamana who is in "ghaiyb" and have not appeared yet. Not everything which you think is not visible is ghost. Illterate journalism
The claim that "3,000 graves were prepared" has no official basis. No Iranian official has ever made such a statement. This narrative is based on reports by a number of media outlets citing anonymous sources, and there is no official statement or credible evidence from Iranian authorities to support it.
The reality is that all relevant authorities had been working for weeks to ensure that the funeral ceremony for Iran's martyred leader would be conducted in the safest, most orderly, and dignified manner possible, allowing millions of mourners to participate in peace and security. The outcome was evident: the ceremony concluded without incident, was managed efficiently, and its orderly organization, security, and massive public attendance were widely reflected by many reputable international media outlets.
The publication of such baseless claims does more to undermine the credibility of the media outlets that circulate them without any verifiable evidence than anything else. The facts on the ground, along with the orderly, secure, and magnificent conduct of the ceremony, demonstrated that such narratives can neither alter the truth nor diminish the scale and significance of this historic event in the eyes of public opinion.
Some media outlets seem to be waiting for people to be killed during the funeral procession. When they choose to ignore the sheer scale and significance of the event, they resort to peddling nonsense instead.
In Tehran's Azadi Square, the body of little Zahra, just 14 months old and granddaughter of the martyred Leader, rests on top of her mother's coffin — a mother and daughter united in death.
(IRNA)
Zahra and her mother were killed in the U.S. missile strikes.
Where are the defenders of children's and women's rights?
Does their outrage depend on who the victims are?
Ayatollah Khamenei's Funeral Procession is currently.
Leaving Tehran for Qom Millions of People have gathered in the Streets to see the late Grand Ayatollah's coffin one Last time.
This is the nation of martyrdom. This is the nation of Imam Hussain. They will never accept humiliation, nor will they forsake the children of Palestine and Lebanon.
