@prthkys The people who complain about Ubuntu aren't actually using Linux for anything meaningful.
the more you become knowledgeable the more you realize the only distros worth use are those with companies behind them (so RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE) - the rest are all for scriptkids.
@geerlingguy i think this is just a broadly bad take when you consider the neo when compared to literally any laptop is probably better value. This is not a framework exclusive problem.
@lauriewired Furthermore it heavily relies on internet access which is not only fast but stable, which is a reality that even Americans struggle to reach, much less people outside the nation in poorer regions.
@lauriewired While I can see your point, there are some definite no goes here. Competitive gaming will never work with cloud streaming on the high end due to input latency (yes I understand the chart shows a different story but high end competitive gaming is measured in the 20 ms range)
@beyond_fps I mean, if you have no steam games its obv that a ps5 is going to be a better deal. But if like - you have literally hundreds if not thousands of steam games, this instantly beats any of those out.
@eurofounder How can you verify it’s more safe if it’s proprietary??? The only way to achieve true safety is though open source… also tossing out actual laptops for tablets will delay your children’s understanding of touch typing.
@SiberionHusky @FrameworkPuter The desktop is standardized? your perfectly able to swap the main board for a standard mini-itx board. Think of it as a self repairable Mac Studio.
